Can anyone provide me with the source for the 'Text Trumps Table' ruling? I am about to start playing momentarily, and need to show the ruling to the DM.

Please halp!

Off the top of my head I would say check here.

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/errata

It should be under the errata rule: primary sources at the start of the core rules errata documents as an example.

It's contained in the errata for each of the 3 core rulebooks (DMG, PHB, MM) at the above link.

The important question is the text trumps table written in a text or table :P
Invisible ink apparently
When the text within a product contradicts itself, our general policy is that the primary source (actual rules text) is correct and any secondary reference (such as in a table or a monster’s statistics block) is incorrect. Exceptions to the rule will be called out specifically.
