Okay, currently my group and I are planning a small Battlestar campaign taking place during the First Cylon War. We will be playing the E6 variant, so things don't get too ridiculous. My question is this, though:

I am planning on having humans use the Vitality/Wound variant when it comes to humans and skinjobs, while at the same time using the standard hit point system for the mechanical Cylons. Has anyone done anything similar? Besides making the Cylons much tougher, are there any other disadvantages of doing this?

In a word? Bad idea. The two systems both work quite well on their own, but they don't work well together. There's too much you need to adjust, and having, for example, different critical hit rules for one group as opposed to the other breaks immersion. A better solution: Triple the WP for toasters, treat them as NPCs (no VP.)
