I really like the Hedge Hog from Kobold Quarterly but I have no idea how to convert it to 3.5. Does anyone have any ideas? See it here: http://www.koboldquarterly.com/k/front-page9151.php

Apply the Greenborn template to a dire boar. Bam, plant-type animal creature.

Where can I find the Greenborn template?

This is what I do when I convert 4e -> 3.Xe:
Take the level of the creature; this is now its HD.
View the creature type and keywords; use your best judgement to determine the 3.X types and subtypes.
Copy Abilities exactly as they are; just keep in mind that some ability scores will need adjustment (i.e. get rid of the constitution score of animates and undead, lower the intelligence of beasts to 1 or 2, etc.)
Adjust the weapons as you see fit. For this creature, take the flat damage it takes, and treat it as the "average damage" in 3.X. Thorny Tusks deal 4 damage, so the 3.X version has a gore attack that deals 1d8 damage. Note that this doesn't work at higher levels.
End result: 3.5 creature that is pretty similar to the 4e version, but generally a little weaker.
