I was wondering what classes/races give good SLA's at lower levels, regardless of the uses per day.

gnomes get a few illusion SLAs
warlocks are based around their at will SLAs
there are a few feats in the Complete Arcane which give a few SLAs a few times per day

Duskblade, PHB2. They get a handful as part of their class features (arcane attunement) at first level. Mainly utility cantrips, though.

Shadowcasters get SLA's, though they run out quickly for a class that's main feature is that.

A first level Magic Blooded (Dr#280) Whisper Gnome (RoS) Shadowcaster (ToM) with the Magic in the Blood (PGtF) feat would have per day: 24 SLAs, 9 SUs, and 1 Mystery (spell). :smalltongue:

Phaerimm can cast all their spells as spell-like abilities. They cast as sorcerers of their HD, and sorcerer levels double-stack with HD for total spellcasting level (so your hatchling 2 HD Sorcerer 9 Phaerimm is a 20th level sorcerer).

They have a LA of +3 or something, and even then are extremely overpowered, but they do have their entire spells known list as SLAs, after all.

Dragonfire Adept is the fixed Warlock. The whole class runs off of SLA's and a breath weapon.

The Incarnate and Totemist run off of soulmelds, which are essentially persistent Spell-like abilities. You can access and effectively use most of them with the Shape Soulmeld and Open Chakra feats. You can easily get Uncanny Dodge, Evasion, flight, Diehard, Dimension Door, Trapfinding, Telepathy, See Invisibility, a variety of immunities, and other goodies.

Kobolds can get a single 1st-level Sor/Wiz spell as a 1/day SLA with the Kobold Rite of Passage, described in Races of the Dragon. Has a small gp and HP cost.
