If you're looking for a steampunk rendition of DnD I highly recomend the Iron Kingdoms book. Liber Mechanika goes with it.

Right, I just got Liber Mechanika.
But what Iron Kingdoms? I search it and see quite a few Iron Kingdoms- [insert rest of title here]

Ah. I think I see now that I opened it, "Iron Kingdoms-Liber Mechanika" is one tittle?

No no, I had it wrong. The first book is Iron Kingdoms Character Guide.

The 'primer' is Locked and Loaded (or Lock and Load, I can't remember).
The basic setting guide is the Iron Kingdoms Character Guide
The DM guide is the Iron Kingdoms World Guide
The 3.5 update is covered in the errata and in Liber Mechanicka
The monster manuals are the Monsternomicon I and Monsternomicon II. (I've heard vague rumors of a Monsternomicon III, but I haven't seen any hard evidence, and it doesn't turn up in Google.)

As for my list:

AD&D: All of them. Yes, even that one.

AD&D (2e): Almost all of them. I never got into the FR stuff back then, but I did read all of the Dragonlance stuff, Dark Sun stuff and the Greyhawk stuff.

DnD (3e/3.5): All of the non-setting specific stuff (except Oriental Adventures, i read that one). (At this point I was more interested in writing my own campaign world, and didn't want to blatantly plagiarize any published campaign settings. My setting was a combination of BESM: The Slayers d20 and Iron Kingdoms. Mechanically similar to BESM:TSd20, since I used the Advanced d20 Magic book, but closer to the Iron Kingdoms in fluff.)

d20: A lot. I own more than I've read, since I've read bits and pieces out of pretty much every d20 game/setting out there.

DnD (4e): PHB, MM, DMG, PHB2, MM2, and some of the adventures. I like the system, but really don't have the time to convert my campaign setting over, so I'm probably going end up just playing WarmaHordes any more.

I literally have lost count of how many D&D related books I have read. Counting official books and third party material, hundreds.

Nah, the only one that's really worth bragging about is From Another Time, Another Land since that would mean getting through the entire thing with your sanity remaining intact.

Yes, I need a life, thank you... or at least a hobby

To be fair, this list stretches back 14 years, but still.

3.5

The player's handbook...
monster manual
The dungeon master's guide
complete warrior
complete adventurer

also I find nothing wrong with the book of fantasy it could possibly add flavor... I just don't want to add it because my players are immature.
I have read a tiny bit of all the first party books
there is also more .... fantasy books then just the one with the name, there is one called nymphology ... I thought it was about nymphs and nymph characters

wow...I'm not sure how any one could actually sit down and read through all the official manuals themselves. I mean, I don't mind sifting through for relevant information to characters I'm building, and I guess after a while I'll eventually have read through all the manuals just by doing that, but sitting down and reading it straight through? Not my kind of thing.

Now, if we're talking books BASED on the settings, I own roughly 150 Forgotten realms books and have read ALL of them at least twice, many of them upwards of half a dozen.

Honestly, Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue (http://www.amazon.com/Auroras-Whole-Realms-Catalog-Forgotten/dp/1560763272) is the only book worth reading cover-to-cover. :smallwink:

I really, really, have no idea. I know I own all the first party books for 3.0, 3.5, PF. I own a great deal outside of that as well. Those books, I've read. I've also thumbed through books owned by others.

Privateer Press is the company that makes Iron Kingdoms and the RPG sits in the same world setting that their tabletop miniatures games, Warmachine and Hordes, exist in. Earlier this year they announced that they intended to put out a new edition of their RPG with an updated setting but that there was no definitive date known or even suggested. It's an awesome company with really good fiction and backstory but the minis game eats up most of their productive capacity, especially in 2010, so I'm not waiting with bated breath for the next edition of the IKRPG.

If it exists and is for any edition of D&D between 1e and 3.5, inclusive, I've read it cover to cover if it's a rulebook and have a 95% chance of having at least read it once if it's a module.
