Evil gets all the cool gadgets

I find it unusual that evil characters get the most use out of many items.

For example: Feathered Wings (Fiend Folio). 24 hour flight, double your land speed, 10,000g.

vs.

Winged Boots (SRD). 15 minutes of flight per day, in 3 seperate 5 minute blocks. 60 foot speed. 16,000g.

and

Portable Hole: 10x10x10 extradimensional storage space. 20,000g

vs.

Enveloping Pit (MIC): 10x10x50 extradimensional storage space. (LN, LE, or NE only). 3,600g

So, for flight, you get a 37% discount for roughly 100 times the flight time per day.

For storage, you get a whopping 82% discount for 5 times the storage space.
Set it sideways on a wall, and you have the world's largest walk in closet.

Not so much an item as a spell, but Holy Word's least effect is Deafened, while Blasphemy's is Dazed. One might stop you from hearing something, the other prevents you from acting at all.
