I was reading Control Water (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/controlWater.htm) the other day, and I wondered if anyone has tried to weaponize it like Telekinesis.

Can you actually do interesting things with this spell, or is there something else that I would be looking for?

Oh... if you make a trap of it, you could use it for mechanical energy production, I suppose. There's a few specialized cases where it can be used offensively (fully flooding a chamber that's already got water on the floor, plus stuff listed in the spell description itself such as trapping boats, flooding riverbanks, and slowing water elementals), but otherwise? Not really.

is there a spell already that does something closer to telekinesis, but for water?
or am I going to have to make it myself?

Make it yourself.

My DM this campaign allowed my water domain cleric to create a version of Telekinesis that uses water as a material component and special effect(tendril or mass of it). Waterbending goodness. :smallcool:
