Eh...

its ballet, and speaking as a dancer, the girls can do far more crazy stuff than that.

i just have to jump high and look good while effortlessly throwing beautiful and scantily clad women around. :smallcool:

A ballerino? :smalltongue:

When I did it everyone was called a dancer; the fact that many of those dances were ballet didn't seem to matter.

OK, now I'm imagining Cthulhu just being put on hold when calling a callcenter, and something along the lines of the Death Star Canteen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv5iEK-IEzw) going on.

They're all from FCI and FCII. Orcus is from the online FCI gallery, since for some reason they don't have the picture they used for the book. The quotes, when possible, are from the prestige classes in the Book of Vile Darkness, when a quote didn't exist I made one up, which is why some quotes are more...concise.

That's basically the best solution for everything in Prototype anyway. If there aren't any helicopters, throw cars until the tanks show up, then throw tanks until the helicopters get in the action. :smallcool:

Two things:
-The fact they only get light armor and a lot of their skills require dex.
-They have a ton of skills and int determines skill points.

The first point is rendered moot by the fact that by multiclassing as Paladin, he can now use heavy armor. Second, a rogue could easily spend all his skillpoints to skills that don't use Dex as a primary attribute.

Third, Rogues get 8 skillpoints per level. Four times as many as a Paladin or a Fighter - or a Wizard, for that matter. A Wizard needs intelligence of 22 to match them, actually.

Why do you consider it so odd, then, that a rogue might feel they can make do with "only" 8 maxed skills?

Normally, rogues fill the skill monkey/scout role. That means they need hide, move silently, search, disable device, open lock, and either Listen or Spot. That's 6 out of 8 right there. So, yeah, they're pretty Int dependent, assuming that you're going to fill the trap/scout role(the most natural one for them to fill), and you want to do things besides that narrow focus.

To be fair someone working with a rogue/paladin build most likely is not going for one of the traditional archetypes that can be easily classified and put into a simple little definition.

Eh, I know when I was actively sparring, it was pretty common to catch a bit of a second wind by opening up a nice combo on someone and pushing them back off you for a few seconds. Our studio sparred hard, generally completely full contact at 100% speed (obviously not for joint locks and such, but for striking... absolutely) and sometimes just rocking someone back enough to catch that precious few seconds to collect yourself can really leave you feeling a good bit better. Not claiming to be some sort of ninja or uberfighter or anything of the sort... just saying I've been knocked around (and returned the favor) enough to have seen this concept happen IRL.

I agree with Warlawk on the whole second wind thing. My studio doesn't fight all that hard but we fight fast (like constant flurry of blows fast) because with our sparring rules all attacks basically just have to be touch attacks to win. No damage needed, or more likely it's just subdual damage being done (I've seen someone knocked out before, and I myself have gotten several critical hits). Still, in that extra moment when you kick the other person away and finally get some breathing room after being pummeled, you really do feel like you're regenerating.

Thanks Warlawk. It's nice to know I'm not crazy.

As I recall, BoHs weigh a minimum of 15 pounds. That's about as heavy as an olympic shot put. The weight distribution would not at all allow that to be fired.

Clearly what it needs is to be configured into a tool that can be emplaced with a timer

I would say swordsage, but what he did to Tai Lung when he first attacked when he was refused the dragon scroll was a stunning fist, though it lasted longer. Monk 4/unarmed swordsage 16? That gives him some of the fast movement and AC bonus of the monk and a good amount of stunning fist.

Both, actually. The Kalashtar have part of a not-so-evil Quori inside them.

I thought Quori lived inside the Inspired, not the Kalashtar? :smallconfused:

The Kalashtar Quori are permanently fused to the Kalashtar race, and their original hosts accepted them willingly. They're more like ancestral spirits than independent beings at this point. The proper Quori use the Inspired as vessels, but they're fundamentally the same kind of being as the ones who fused themselves with the first Kalashtar.

And just so I'm not rambling off-topic, a psionic demotivator.

I'm trying to make a demotivator of the the 11th Doctor story, "A Good Man Goes to War."

Basically, the caption would be:

"Allies 5 (Judoon), Allies 5 (Silurians), Allies 5 (Spitfires in Space), Contacts 5 (Dorium), Retainer 5 (Rory Williams), Retainer 5 (Madame Vastra), Retainer 5 (Jenny), Retainer 5 (Commander Strax) = PWNAGE."

However, I can't find the right image that would encapsulate the Doctor activating all of his social Merits.

Take a spell of your choice and combine it with an image that provides a fitting visualization of the effect. Bonus points if it also references a popular movie, tv, or game franchise.

According to PHB 3.5: Maximized Spell gives the highest possible die result. Empowered Spell adds half the die result to the final result. An Empowered Maximized Fireball by a level 10 caster would therefore be 10d6 (Maximized=60 automatic) plus half of the die result (30). Final resulting damage: 90.

Yora
2011-06-30, 10:46 AM
Except that the description for Maximize Spell says that it does not work that way.
I assume the same is mentioned in the description of Empower Spell.

From the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/feats.htm#maximizeSpell):

Maximize Spell [Metamagic]

Benefit
All variable, numeric effects of a spell modified by this feat are maximized. Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected, nor are spells without random variables. A maximized spell uses up a spell slot three levels higher than the spell’s actual level.

An empowered, maximized spell gains the separate benefits of each feat: the maximum result plus one-half the normally rolled result.
Bolding emphasis mine.

And for the maximized/empowered/intensified (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/feats.htm#intensifySpell) debate:

Intensify Spell [Metamagic][Epic]

Prerequisites
Empower Spell, Maximize Spell, Spellcraft 30 ranks, ability to cast 9th-level arcane or divine spells.

Benefit
All variable, numeric effects of an intensified spell are maximized, then doubled. An intensified spell deals twice maximum damage, cures twice the maximum number of hit points, affects twice the maximum number of targets, and so forth, as appropriate. Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected. An intensified spell uses up a spell slot seven levels higher than the spell’s actual level. You can’t combine the effects of this feat with any other feat that affects the variable, numeric effects of a spell.
Emphasis again mine. You just need intensified, but it does sound cooler if you say the others too. :smalltongue:

In 3.5, that effect is done by Enhance Spell, another epic metamagic, but that increases it by 10 (or 5 if it's CL/2 dice of damage).

I don't think intensified spell is even an epic feat any more, You just need to have sufficient caster levels to surpass the maximum that can be used when casting the spell.

Have a look here if you want all the info on the pathfinder feats. This is just for the advanced rules though, so you might want to check out the base feats as well on the sidebar.

I've made a few characters (usually bards) whose mottos could be summed up as that poster, except it has one too many kids and too few women.

If it helps, think of her as a halfling. :smalltongue:

That doesn't help at all, because I thought it was him, his wife, and his kid...:smalleek::smallfrown:

Okay, to rephrase. Imagine it's NOT his kid and is instead a random halfling.

Hey...halflings are fully developed! Just really short.

In fact ive noticed they often appear to be even more stacked than average due to their shorter size. I was just making a suggestion if the halfling thing didnt work out. After all, dont they sometimes revert to child sized people in that series? A little loli fetish would be understandable in that case. lol

Is that Gohan?Yes. With his wife Videl and his daughter Pan. It's a nice "happy family" picture.

That happened in GT, which is only semi-canon.

But screen stretching.

Unless you have a rather small screen, it shouldn't.

I'd say Krillin is pretty short, child-like in size (teenagers are taller than him).

I'd say Krillin is pretty short, child-like in size (teenagers are taller than him). But his size has been pretty consistent. He's never "reverted" to the height that he is.

Poor guy; he was an interesting character with a unique attack that got dumped on the wayside.
