A Cleveland [Texas] man was attacked by a housecat Friday afternoon and the man's injuries are so severe that he had to be taken by air ambulance to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

And we sometimes think D&D isn't realistic...

Yikes! I think from now on I'll be making sure my arcane character's kitty familiar gets an extra dish of cream after supper to keep it appeased.

Isn't it said that "everything's bigger in Texas"? So that could be an advanced cat, or a Dire one.

I think this would more be the case of a truly epic fumble roll, since another story I read seemed to indicate that he sliced himself with the knife while trying to hit the cat.

Shhh. It's funnier without that detail.

You forgot to mention that he was a "Game Warden".

No, it talks about game wardens being called to the house after the incident. The man who was attacked was not a game warden.

Unless a second feral cat attacked another man in CR316 of Cleveland, Texas, this is the same story.

Could this mean that I'm actually smarter while drunk?

I hate to imagine facing TWO CR316 feral cats... talk about TPK.

Could this mean that I'm actually smarter while drunk?Obviously, that's the only reasonable conclusion.

But didn't the other article talk about something that specifically wasn't a house cat?

A good start would be finding out this cat's build (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0780.html).
