Are there any official NPC classes described in any WotC products other than the standard five?

WotC-published?
Magewright in Eberron Campaign Setting and Urban Adept in Sharn are all I've got.

There are seven in all.

Adept (Eberron lets you get to pick a single domain for this class)
Adept, Urban
Aristocrat
Commoner
Expert
Magewright
Warrior

I know of three homebrewed classes and a number of homebrewed NPC PrCs as well.

Just out of curiosity, what does a Magewright do?

Magewrights are crafters with the ability to cast low-level spells. They basically specialize in creating minor magical items.

Just out of curiosity, what does a Magewright do?They're arcane adepts, basically, with really pared down spell list focusing on crafting and most mundane of utility. Int-based, prepared casters who have to pick a spells known list based on Spell Mastery mechanics.

I've always thought it odd that Magewrights didn't get Infusions as per the Artificer, just limited the way the Adept is limited. That would seem to make more sense. It'd also make sense to give them the Artificer's Item Creation ability, perhaps...

They're more about using magic for mundane crafting (and other everyday stuff, with Prestidigitation, Unseen Servant, Tenser's Floating Disc etc.), in my view. Their list nor casting mechanics don't really lend themselves to making more than the most minor of magic items.

Mlar from Dungeon #100/Polyhedron #159

Are you sure the Mlar class can be found in Dungeon 100? I find references to it, but no actual crunch. Perhaps I've missed it? :smallconfused:

EDIT: You are correct about it being in Polyhedron, though. It is odd in that there are only 16 levels, as opposed to 20. Which makes it weirder, because it mentions a 20th level Mlar in the fluff....

It would be fairly easy to extrapolate the last 4 levels. Lets see: good will save, 3/4 BAB, spells per day as bard, and that's about it.

The Mlar sounds interesting. What does it do?

Also, where could I find the mlar's stats? I can't find a copy of Polyhedron 159 anywhere online.

Its like the magewright, except its for GIthyanki and their slaves. I've got the pdf somewhere. I can e-mail it to you, if you want.
