I just took a look at Vital Strike (link (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/vital-strike-combat---final)) and Second Chance (link (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/second-chance-combat)), two feats that 'use up' your extra iterative attacks to give you a benefit. And I'm wondering if, by RAW, these feats can work together.

My hypothetical scenario is: You make a single attack, which gains the benefit of Vital Strike. This attack misses. You make a full attack, using Second Chance to re-roll the missed attack.

Does this work? If it does, would the re-rolled attack benefit from Vital Strike or no?

Sorry, but it doesn't work. Vital Strike is part of an "attack action" which is a particular kind of standard action. Missing with a standard action doesn't entitle you to change the type of action it is. Second Chance requires a full attack.

I figured as much, but the wording of full attack where you can choose to 'stop' the full attack was kinda throwing me. Thanks!

I love vital strike builds and usually I don't worry too much about missing since you have full BAB on your attack and no one should bother adding power attack to it unless they are sure of the hit to start with.
