Meet any and all DC requirements for every skill check as an optimized level 30 wizard? Short of an entire Pun-Pun...

Make an epic spell for it. Or just have a horde of solars* to Aid Another you.

*Anything with 9+ ranks in relevant skills would work, but you're level 30 wizard, you gotta think big.

Level 30? No cheese required. If you're using Epic Magic, just make an Epic spell that does something to the effect of "If you would have to make a skill check, you can automatically assume that you succeed." I mean, even if you hit a DC 120 check, you're only going to get a quasi-magical effect. The epic spell shouldn't even have that high of a spellcraft DC.

That said, this + Truenaming would be awesome.

Except that you could power other Epic spells off of it, so it really should :P

Wait, how would I make an epic spell to that effect?

At the risk of seeming like a nub, can someone walk me through doing the following.

I want to meet a pure damage spell of DC 1000. I'm an optimized level 30 wizard built for this singular purpose.

(Also, I'd like to meet a DC of 120 for all my other trained skill checks.)

Ummmm, how many mitigators do you want? Chaining in Solars? Just adding 100 days? Tons of XP loss? Killing yourself doing it?

Aha, so it's not really a trick, it's just stockpiling negative DC factors until the check is something reasonable, right?

Exactly. Otherwise it is horrendously expensive and time consuming to make the spell.

Now, how would I make a spell that would allow me to succeed on my next trained skill check no matter what?

Well, sort of. This is involved, but you also use those same mitigation techniques to cast spells that give you skill bonuses, which makes you need less mitigation later.

For instance, autokilling yourself while taking 20,000 XP loss and casting it over 100 days removes a DC of 500, so the spell deals around 200d6 for a DC of 0. Or chain in Solars for a reduction of infinite.

You could also use it to make a good sized building out of adamant and drop it from space on the enemy. :smallwink:

I can't find a seed that will buff your next skill check. Only abilities, saving throws, etc.

How could you autokill yourself if your casting it for a 100 days?:smalltongue:
Sorry, order of list confusion.

Yeah, I'm at a loss as to how one should buff skill checks.

Just make a +Int (or whatever, for other skills) epic spell? That was the first thing I did when planning my epic caster.

Oh, right, hah. Forgot there was a skill boost based on stats.

you can make an epic item that gives you 1000 spellcraft bonus at epic level. the limit at non epic levels is 30 but i haven't seen no limit at epic levels
