A few questions on Beastheart Adepts and Defiants.

In a charecter I'm making I'm using Defiant and Beastheart, Defiant doesn't say what you're proficent with and Beastheart has nothing mentioning it. Those will be the only levels I'm taking and I want to find out what I'm actually proficent with.

Also, whats some good pets for the Beastheart adept?

Beastheart is from dungeonscape, ( I hope this prestige class wasn't made by Rich) and Defiant is in Manual of the planes, it uses the same wording as Blackguard for trading in levels though.

Edit: I've just realised my race is an outsider so I'm instanly proficent with martial weapons, but what would I be proficent with if i was a human?

Those are both prestige classes. It would not normally be possible to take only prestige classes as just a human (Or any of the other "normal" player races) because you wouldn't be able to meet the prerequisites for either one of them at level 1. If you did, somehow, you just wouldn't be proficient with any weapons.
