I believe this is an official desktop background, though, for the life of me I cannot recall where I found it.

Anyway, if it is indeed official, I wonder why the oracle is so largely displayed? Is it possible that he is a much more central villain that anyone has suspected? He has vanished into thin air recently, as he was out when Xykon went to consult him.

Does anyone know where this originated, if it isn't official?

It's a poster that was one sale a while back.

As for the Oracle, notice on each side there are 6 and on the other at the same place is their opposite. A kobold that set off Belkars Mark of Justice is the best antagonist for him.

...I don't know if I buy that. It was already 6 and 6 with MitD.

The MitD analogue is Mr. Scruffy.

...You don't know if you believe the author is lying to you?

Um, well, then, have fun with that.

"Numerical balance" is not the same thing as "visual balance." The Giant is talking about visual balance. He needed to put someone who was the approximate size and shape of Belkar in that corner, or it would have been topheavy on the villain side.

Or, yeah, you could go with the idea that the author is lying to cover up some sort of sinister agenda. Either one.

Added to my sig-clip of word-from-the-Giant ammo.

Giant's plan:

1. Trick us into believing everything the Oracle says
2. Step 2?!?!?!
3. Take over the world

It's rare enough that I respond to a thread around here, but now I'm responding to one where my actual answer has already been given and linked to? Geez.

My answer is the same as it was before, believe it or not, your call.

Question answered, thread locked.
