Guitar Fixings advice

So, another guitar advice thread. Except....maybe not. Basically, all I really need to know is if there is a specific type of solder to use on cable jacks, as I am replacing mine and the thought occurred to me. Any particular mix of tin and aluminum to use?

I know they make audio specific solder (http://www.thlaudio.com/sodrothrE.htm), but I can't tell you if it'll make a huge difference.

In the audio world, there's always gonna be people trying to sell you more expensive, specialist stuff. I've always used regular solder on my equipment and it works fine.

i feel the same as moff when i do my own soldering
otherwise i get my guitar fixing specialist cousin to do it
