Advertising Your Game in Other Threads

Is it allowed to advertise for a PbP game in another person's recruitment thread? Or is it against the rules? I'm asking because somebody advertised for their game in my thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201837).

It's not appropriate to hijack someone else's recruitment thread, no. And if someone is causing trouble in PbP, one should report it. Though when you post saying, "I've got a character in search of a DM and players," with no other game details, there's not really much there to be hijacked. It sort of invites would be DMs to offer "their" game, if it seems to fit.
