Are there any effects that grant bonus hit dice other than that one bardic music effect?

Eating stuff as a Dusk Giant is the classic approach. Barghests may or may not get something similar. Either can be poached with appropriate transmutation spells.

Actually, I'm looking for temporary effects. Permanently gaining hit dice is nice and all, but that makes gaining levels with actual class abilities significantly more difficult.
