Is this the pathfinder or 3.5 version? Far shot would certainly help a little depending on the version.

well then Far Shot (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/feats.htm#farShot) will double the range increment right off the bat, bringing your maximum range up to 100' instead of just 50'.

Throw Anything is poorly named. The Hulking Hurler prestige class (Complete Warrior, page 40) has a level 1 ability called Really Throw Anything. (It's only available if you meet the Large+ size requirement, though.)

Good to know for characters starting at higher levels, but what is optimal at level 10 is not what is usually optimal at levels 1-6. :-P
