What are the tiers for the incarnum classes (Soulborn [?], Incarnate [?], and Totemist [?])

Incarnate and Totemist tier 3, Soulborn tier 5 (I'd say).

Yeah, I never liked Soulborn.

Totemist is pretty smack-dab in the middle of tier 3. Law and Evil Incarnates are tier 3, slightly below Totemist; the other two are probably somewhere in tier 4. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SOULBORN, FOOL. :smalltongue:

Let's put it this way: a soulborn and a soulknife, gestalted in a non-gestalt game, are still somewhere between 4 and 5.

What's a Soulborn//Divine Mind//Soulknife in a non-gestalt game, then? :smalltongue:

Probably a fourish. You get some party buff off the DM auras, some psionic backup off the DM mantle, basically free weaponry (between Incarnate Weapon and Soulknife, you should never want for a blade), and some meldshaping--probably the strongest point of this character. There are some really good things buried in the Soulborn list, like Thunderstep Greaves. Soulknife brings basically nothing to the table, sadly, and the end result approximates to a shoddy Marshal with a free sword, poor psionics, full BAB, and okay meldshaping.

If you do not have a decent standard action to use in combat on a fairly consistent basis then it is very difficult to be a tier 3 class.
