So I recently began a new campaign with some of my old friends who I found out moved from North Carolina to California, so we're starting up a celebratory campaign. Here's the crunch:

Gestalt
Level 2
Bunch a' Homebrew stuff
2 PC's and a DM

Fluffwise, I won't go too much into the detail of it, but it is a semi-modern D&D setting, meaning you're going to see Gnomes in full plate, with a tower shield, and a pistol. The game starts with us auditioning for the annual season of the ADVENTURERS! reality TV show. My character is Katz'lii, a Githzerai Brawler (Personal Monk Fix), and our other character is Elizabeth Bell, a Drow Bard (and yes, I will talk about her name in the background post)

So here's the premise of ADVENTURERS!:
Adventurers is run by the Adventurers Guild, which is not important right now. There are 5 spots to audition from, each of them in the guildhouse of that region. These auditions are judged by trainers, each of which corresponds to two groups on Adventurers. This so far is the extent of my character's knowledge, so I'll let it go here.
