Undead Templates

So, I'm looking for a list of undead Templates that would fit the fluff of a devoted bodyguard of a Lich. My brother and I are making characters (My character concept is described in my other Thread) And he's trying to find a descent template to get. Any ideas? Is there a Wight Template somewhere?

Libris Mortis has some templates, Dragon 307 has some as well.

A Wight's ability score adjustments would be +2 Str, +2 Dex, +0 Int, +2 Wis, +4 Cha.

I would guess the LA is strong +1 or +2-ish.

Dread Warrior from Unapproachable East could be something that would work for you. It's sort of like a zombie that keeps class levels. They lose 6 int and 4 char and gain 4 str so it works best for martial characters or wis based casters.

Death Knight from MM2 is a template fit for a melee-type, but the LA (+5) is hilariously high. Talk to your DM to see if you can drop some LA in exchange from dropping some abilities (like Undead Followers, Turn Immunity... and, well, a lot of things, actually. The Death Knight is basically the melee equivalent of the Lich. Only perhaps even better than that, as far as templates go).

IMO the easiest to get past a dm, and the least intencive penalty wise.
