So, this is the character thread for X-MenITP. Here, players can post their characters; however, please avoid commenting here, and instead quote the post in the other thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202833) and comment there. So, here is the basic format for character sheets:

Name: [First and Last]
Codename: [Optional]
Age: [Preferably 8 - 18, though exceptions are allowed]
Height:
Weight:
Ability/Mutation: [plus the reason/explanation for ability/mutation, though this is optional]
Appearance: [physical, as well as appearance clothing-wise, would be appreciated ]
Personality: [the more detailed the better!]
Other items: [optional, but recommended]
History/Background: [optional, but highly recommended - I'm completely fine if you don't include this, but it will most likely add depth to your character and others may appreciate the addition of this]

I hope I wasn't too detailed in this, but if you have any questions or comments as to the set up of the sheet, please speak up (in the other thread, of course)!

Name: Krystal Jones
Codename: Crystalline
Height: 5'1"
Age: 15
Eyes: White
Hair: White

Appearance:
Krystal is kind of on the small side. Her eyes have no pupils at all. Just pure white. Her hair is cut short, with her bangs hanging past her left eye. Her hair is very rigid. Because instead of hair, it is actually fine crystals. They kind of resemble fiber optic cables.

She wears white sneakers, blue jeans, a red tank top, and a blue jacket. She also wears a necklace with a small opal in it.

There is a small amount of scaring on her elbows, wrists, knees, and shoulders. This is a result of repeatedly pulling crystals out of herself. Her healing ability isn't enough to completely erase scars.

Mutation:
Can produce extremely strong crystals of varying sizes from her joints. Also has slight healing factor, since she can pull the crystals out and use them as weapons. She can launch the crystals a short distance. She can increase this distance with the addition of momentum, such as swinging her arm.

The crystals come from her bones, which are made of the same material. Her body doesn't show any signs of rejecting the crystal-like bones at all. They regrow almost instantly when removed, and can be extended or reduced when in her. Once removed, however, she can't change their size.

Side effects:
She has, at times, produced crystals by accident. Like when she gets surprised. Or sneezes really hard. Usually results in her looking kind of like a porcupine. But, once in a while, they can shoot straight out, causing much accidental damage.

Personality:
She is usually playful, and usually in a good mood. She's a little bit of a trouble maker, since she likes to find fun things to do. She gets along with people most of the time. She is also fond of banter during fights. Especially one liners. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, and will almost always fight for it. She does dream of becoming a superhero, and idolizes previous X-Men for that reason.

Backstory:
When her mutation first showed, Krystal, unlike a lot of other kids, was excited. She grew up reading about the heroes of the world, watching the news stories about them. She'd tie a towel around her shoulders and run around the house with her mom's underwear as a mask, pretending she was saving cities from the likes of Magneto and Sentinels.

Her parents were supportive of her in the first years of her mutation. She received typical static from kids her age, and people in her neighborhood. But, she thought that once she became a hero, they'd all love her. And that'd be worth it.

Course, living in a small town in the middle of Michigan, there wasn't much heroing to be done. Which saddened her. Her parents thought she would be happier staying with other mutants, and looked into the Xavier institute. So, here she is, ready to become a hero.

Other Stuff:
A drawing of her I did.

IcemanJRC
2011-06-13, 09:59 PM
Name: Geoffry Fisher
Codename: Uplink
Age: 15
Height: Tall, slightly above average
Weight: Thin
Ability/Mutation: Technopathy, the ability to speak with and command technological devices. AI can speak back and even contradict his commands.
Appearance: Lanky, pale and shy in his posture, Geoffry is the shy guy. His blue eyes, blond hair and pale skin make him a very washed out looking guy. Hee wears a pair of blue jeans and a white tshirt, topped by a black hoodie.

Gardener
2011-06-14, 12:31 AM
Name: Ellie Forrest

Codename: Woodrat

Age: 15

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 128 lbs

Ability/Mutation: Can change into any member of the orders Rodentia and Lagomorpha - colloquially, all rodents including rats, mice, hamsters, squirrels and rabbits. Why? She's a mutant. At least she doesn't turn herself into fire.

A more pseudo-scientific explanation, which Ellie doesn't know, though the medical staff at the Institute might:
Ellie's particular configuration of the X-Gene created a complex that could accept and modify sufficiently similar DNA, replicating whatever the sample was, or some nearby modifications, across her body. However, the complex, part of her genetic structure, was functional well before her shapeshifting was. At 18 months old, she was bitten by a rat, giving her the scar on her right hand and providing a sample of rodent DNA for the mutant complex to use. The modified complex spread throughout her body, and now that rodent DNA is as much a part of her as her own. She can modify the DNA structures slightly, becoming any rodent that she can imagine clearly and actually lives - if the animal isn't possible, the first cell to transform dies and the process is aborted.

In theory, if she'd been injected with other species' DNA before the rodent sample proliferated, she could have a much wider range of forms - possibly even any mammal. Or it could set off a massive autoimmune crash as the different versions of "her" DNA fight it out. Or she could even have wound up as some sort of deformed, chimeric monster. No-one really knows. Regardless, it's all academic, as she doesn't have any receptive samples left, and renewing one of Ellie's locked-in ones without killing her is nigh-impossible.

Appearance: Stocky and lithe, Ellie has a hiker's build. She's prone to carrying a little extra padding, but the physical routine at the Xavier Institute keeps her weight down. She keeps her mousy brown hair above shoulder length, framing a round, friendly face. For casual clothes, she likes jeans, a t-shirt and a big jacket with lots of pockets. Her transformation won't change bulky clothing, though, so she leaves the jacket at home and puts a leotard under her clothes (which will come with her when she changes) if she's expecting to use her powers. She also has a small, white scar between the joints of her right little finger.

Personality:
Ellie's a little shy around other people for the most part, but if you can get her talking she'll talk your ear off if you're not careful. One of the easiest ways to get her to open up is to talk about hiking, especially through wilderness areas. She's an avid hiker and camper, and often trekked into the mountain forests outside her hometown; Middlesboro, Kentucky. She also loves wildlife, and can get caught up in environmentalist causes pretty easily - she's been a vegetarian since she came to the Institute, two years ago. She's very gentle and giving when she's asked, but has a tendency to assume that people who don't ask for help don't want it. And while she doesn't approve of starting fights, if someone bothers one of her friends she has no problem with making their life a little bit of hell. At school, she's fond of geography and life sciences, does okay with maths and physical sciences, but struggles a little with the broader humanities.

Other items: Ellie has a pair of silver stud earrings her mother gave her on her twelfth birthday, which she wears constantly, and a battered copy of Mammals of the Eastern United States she keeps in her room unless she's out on a hike. The pages are a little dog-eared, and a few of the others have little crosses marked in the corner. She also has a small set of camping gear, with a one-man tent, sleeping bag, camp stove, folding shovel, tarpaulin and sheath knife. That's kept in a locker by the staff at the institute most of the time, but she can get it out for the holidays.

History/Background:
Ellie grew up in the outskirts of Middlesboro, Kentucky. The elder of two children, she was a bit of a nature girl, always out in the woods looking for animals and tending to plants. Money was always a bit tight in the family, so a kid who would have more fun with a little oak sapling or a nest of blackbirds than the latest toy was a help. Even so, her parents had more than their fair share of arguments, and when it got too much, Ellie would head out into the woods and see what animals she could find. She'd check them off in her copy of Mammals of the Eastern United States, and come back as it was getting dark.
Her powers manifested when she was thirteen. Her father confronted her about a C grade in maths. She was normally getting B's, but he just kept yelling and yelling, and she shut her eyes and wished she was anywhere but there. The next thing she remembered was her mother screaming and her father yelling something about a doctor - when she looked around, she found that she had fur on the back of her hands, and had sprouted a big, bushy tail.
On the whole, her parents dealt pretty well with the fact that their eldest daughter was a mutant, but they knew that rural Kentucky wasn't going to be the most accepting place for a girl who could turn into a squirrel, so they looked up places where people with "extraordinary gifts" could study in peace. Ellie scraped her way into a minimal scholarship to the Xavier Institute, and had moved there within six weeks of her first transformation. She was a little concerned about leaving her little brother, Dylan, behind, but she's aware that having one less mouth to feed around the house is helping things along. She emails her parents every week, and apparently Dylan is making his mark in junior baseball.

Name: Garret Mayfleet
Codename: Skyrush
Age: 16
Height: 5' 9''
Weight: 147 lbs
Ability/Mutation: Garret has the power of unassisted flight. His flight seems to be a willful action, as losing conciousness will cause him to fall. While flying the adrenaline rush he gets also activates secondary powers, allowing him to survive sub-sonic flight, as well as giving him an invulnerable barrier. He is potentially impervious while flying, and he can crash into objects while flying without any damage to himself. The barrier helps him resist temperature extremes, debri, and helps cope with lower air pressures.

His barrier remains for a few moments when he stops flying, allowing him to survive a rough landing, and on occassion can be activated by a sudden adrenaline rush even when not flying, though it seems that the act of flying is part of the activation. If activated in a situation where he isn't flying it seems less effective, but can still help. He can accelerate and deaceelerate rapidly, and extra weight does not impede his flight, though he cannot lift any more than he normally would. The field also acts as an inertia dampener, allowing him to catch someone that's falling at high speed without injuring them. The field also extends to protect them from the speed, but only if he holds them close.
Appearance: http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo317/katalack96/Anime%20stuff/anime%20boys/afternoon.jpg?t=1276235332
Personality: Garret seems to others to be an adrenaline junky, always interested in fast vehicles, extreme sports, and especially flying. He's energetic and upbeat, but he doesn't think about his actions. He's very head strong, causing him to clash often with authority figures. He's pretty friendly and honest about his opinions.
Other items: He doesn't vary his outfits much, but he always wers the same wristband. It has some kind of sentimental value. He almost always seems to be drinking energy drinks.
History/Background: Garret wasthe only child of a military family, living on air fields and air force bases most of his life. His father was a mechanic, his mother worked at each base at the grocery stores. He grew up surrounded by the sound of jets and dreamed he would fly in one someday. His parents were not very strict with him and gave him a good deal of freedom all things considered. He had a pretty normal childhood growing up on the bases.

One day while he was out watching jets taking off from a roof, Garret was imagining himself flying the jets, and started to run along the rooftops of the hangar, proceeding to jumps from one roof to another. During one jump he slipped and started to full. Before he hit the ground he found himself floating, and after a moment he realized he could fly. His excitment overrid any sense of discretiona nd he took off, flying in the restricted air space over the base, and unknowingly sending the base into alert. He did not pay atteniton as anti-air ordanance was focused on him. It wasn't until flak began exploding around him he realized what he was doing. It was then he also learned that the flak wasn't hurting him as it should. Still, he was afraid and he sped away from the base, hiding quickly.

He realized he could never go back home with his new power. The military would probably take him away and do stuff, that's what he read about in comic books. He ran away... well, flew away when he could. He spent a long time moving across the country, avoiding authority even when he wasn;t being looked for. He always seeked out new ways to excite himself, trying to get the same rush he gets when he flies.

Mr. Anon Omys
2011-06-14, 07:36 AM
Name: Chuck Fort
Codename: Beam
Age: 17
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 120 lbs.

Ability/Mutation:
Beam has the ability to convert his entire body and equipment into a form of concentrated energy. He can only exist in this state for a second, but while in the state he can move at the speed of light. On earth, this ability translates to teleportation. His control is not perfect, however, and he is constantly shedding bits of himself and his stuff as he converts and reforms.

The shedding of himself is taken care of by a healing factor, which converts radiant energy back into his physical body. This healing has a side effect of making him immune to extreme heat and lasers, but more prone to damage while in cold and darkness. His clothes are not that lucky. Anything that he carries with him while teleporting is damaged slightly. Because of the shedding effect, Beam attempts to avoid teleportation when possible.

Beam is also working on another application of his powers, namely, the ability to deliberately convert and loose matter, without converting himself. As of yet, the technique is imperfect, but part of his hopes for the Xavier institute is that he will have help developing this aspect of his power, and controlling the shedding that he does unintentionally during his conversion.

Appearance:
Beam is, first and foremost, thin. This thinness is caused by the constant and unintentional shedding of excess weight as he converts. For a simmilar reason, Beam has a rather faded look, with paler skin, blue eyes and light blonde hair. His clothes are almost always comfortable and heavily patched, due to the matter loss when he teleports.

Personality:
Beam is an amiable fellow, likable but not that noticeable. He is quiet without being shy or antisocial. He has a tendency to stand on the edge of a group, and comment only when he has something to say. This economy with words translates to an entire economy of being. Partially due to the fact that he looses something every time he uses his powers, he does not like to see anything go to waste. He collects random pieces of metal, since metal does not seem to be effected as much by his power, and random scraps of metal can always be useful. He will also eat anything presented to him, never letting food go to waste, but never gaining weight as his power keeps shedding mass.

Other Items:
Random bits of metal, including multiple needles and copper threads. Beam also carries scraps of cloth in his many pockets, to keep patching up his clothing.

History/Background:
Beam grew up an orphan on the streets of New York City, stealing what he needed and watching the heroes save people all around him on a daily basis. Beam discovered his powers at a young age, wishing that he could escape a dangerous situation. Since then, he has been trying to hone his powers, to become like the heroes he sees every day, totally in control and not removing their own hand every time they jumped. Once Beam thought that his powers were developed enough, he took a train to the Xavier institute, and broke in. When he finally recovered from this mistake in the Institute hospital and explained what he was doing, he was offered a place at the Institute, and a chance to fulfill his lifelong dream.

Ashen Lilies
2011-06-14, 09:04 AM
Name: Care Williams
Codename: None, yet. Likely will end up being something like Newb, Newbie, Freshmeat, New Kid, or something else pointlessly cruel and exclusionary (she's new, in case you haven't noticed).
Age: 17
Height: 155 cm
Weight: Around 50-ish. Kilograms that is. A true gentleman never asks a lady her weight, anyways. Slender for her size, but not terribly thin.

Ability/Mutation:
The true extent of her abilities are unknown, but all indicators point at some general talent at telepathic/psionic manipulation. Right now, however, whether by effect of personality or some other factor, her (controllable) abilities are mostly limited to how much attention she gets. Care is capable of creating a psionic field that allows her to slip, unnoticed, past most people's mental radar. This has limits, of course. Shouting in the middle of a quiet room will get anyone's attention, no matter how much psionic pressure she's putting out, and anyone especially trained to be attentive (Police, FBI, Secret Service, etc) or specifically on the look-out for her will be able to spot her right away. Similarly, electronic means of detection, such as cameras, are not affected in the slightest by her psionic abilities. In most cases, however, use of this power renders her effectively invisible to most people. Also, she's capable of pulling the opposite stunt, using her psionic pressure to make her instantly, even distractingly noticeable, in whatever way is most convenient. Whether it be due to annoyingness ("Oh god, could she crack her knuckles any louder?"), sexiness ("Damn, that's a nice dress. A really, really nice dress.") or some other reason, use of this ability usually makes her the center of attention, in one way or another.

Appearance:

http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/CareCasual.png

http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs28/f/2008/158/f/8/f8120c1bd6fc94ffa603f84933f44a80.jpg
A relatively short, Asian-American youth, with the ever-common dark brown/black (depends on how the light hits it, really), ramrod straight hair (hence why it's usually tied back), and the dark eyes, in her case bordered by almost-not-there square wireframes. Puberty was not entirely generous with her: she's recognizably female, at least, though to call her shapely would probably be too kind. Her clothing choices run the whole range of teenage fashion, really. Chinese upbringing caused her to favor the more conservative wardrobe, perhaps, but she's not afraid to show skin if the occasion requires it. Her make-up, at the very least, is usually sensibly understated.

Personality: The very picture of classical womanhood (in miniature!), Care is usually polite, reserved, friendly without being obnoxious, assertive without being overbearing. After initial barriers are broken though, she brings forth a terrifying bluntness that has proven the downfall of many an undeserved ego, and perhaps chased away many a potential friend. She doesn't mean it, though - she's just one of those people unable to recognize the social benefit of all those little white lies we (okay, most people) tell each other. She just happens to be ridiculously good at finding fault in things most folk would just glance over. Accept this, however, (and maybe grow a thicker skin while you're at it,) and you'll rarely find a more dependable friend.
In school, she's somewhat of a multi-talented person. In all subjects she excels - in the Physical Sciences and Mathematics especially, though picking out one subject of excellence is much like picking out the one bent straw in a bundle of hundreds - and is fairly adept at singing, playing the piano, flute and cello (her mother wanted her to learn the harp, violin, guitar, oboe, drums and french horn, but there was literally no space left on her timetable). Secretly though, she'd rather just become an artist.

Other items: Care has a fondness for silver jewelry, and is usually never seen without a silver pendant given to her by her mother (which secretly contains a locator micro-chip). While not particularly religious, she usually also has a silver cross as well. Doesn't have much else in the way of personal effects, except of course the ever-present iPhone and other hand-held gadgetry. Owns a relatively compact Sony laptop, which she brought with her to the Institute.

History: Her (American) father left her quite suddenly after she was born, leaving Care and her older brother to be raised by their mother, who, unbeknownst to the three of them, was actually a deep-cover Chinese superspy. Her childhood was... okay, let's face it, she had a Chinese mother, so there's really no other way to describe it other than an endless string of perfect grades, youth accomplishment awards, spelling bee and music trophies, and no real social life to speak of. It's small wonder that her older brother dropped out to start a successful musical career (though strangely, their mother never seemed to mind overmuch - the initial shouting matches and accusations of ruining the family honor notwithstanding, at least they're on speaking terms, and his name is still regularly spoken in the house), though Care never showed any signs of weakness, and survived the experience quite handily until her mid-teens. Her mutation manifested itself relatively quietly. Care found that she could divert attention away from, towards, and around herself with relative ease, and she suddenly became better at reading people, even on the point of reading minds. There were still mishaps though: a few poorly chosen words and several insightful comments too many raised suspicions that she was telepathic, and a string of complaints from the school about her repeated absences when she was clearly in school the entire time (her mother could confirm this - she had the microchip locator) finally led to X-gene testing, and the revelation she was a mutant.

Maxios
2011-06-14, 01:14 PM
http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy59/maxios5/CharlieRunner.png
Name: Charlie Runner
Codename: Lightning
Age: 15
Height: 5'6
Weight: 123 lb
Ability/Mutation: Charlie has several abilities revolving around electricity. To use them, he has to suck the electricity of charged objects, like certain cars or batteries (like Cole in InFamous). When "Charged", Charlie's energetic and can't go in water (otherwise, the water will become charged zapping him and anyone else in the same puddle/river/one-mile radius in lake or ocean). If Charlie sucks up enough electricity (usually from a generator of some sort) there's a 10% chance it'll grant him a new power.
Electric Bolt: Charlie fires a bolt of electricity from his hands.
The Call of Lightning: Charlie's most exhausting, and dangerous, power. By using nearly all of his energy, he summons a bolt of lightning down from the sky to strike whoever he wishes.
Dynamite: Charlie can form a grenade of electricity, and toss it. It explodes five seconds later, causing everyone around it in a five feet radius to be zapped. This is one of Charlie's more exhausting powers.
Aura: Charlie can create an electric aura around parts of his body, meaning they become electrifed. He tends to make an aura around his hands in melee combat.
Resistance: Charlie, when charged, is resistant to electricity.

Charlie can also speak Italian.
Appearance: He has light brown hair, and golden eyes. He usually wears a red jacket with a blue shirt underneath. Charlie also wears black combat boots and jeans. Charlie's also fairly handsome.
Personality: Charlie's sarcastic and greedy, with slight narcissictic tendencies. Charlie's also very brave (on the verge of being foolhardy), and usually is happy. He doesn't like to talk about his brother.
Other items: Charlie usually caries a battery around with him, in case he needs to charge quickly. However, the battery only gives him a minimal charge, enough for about three bolts. Charlie also always carries his cellphone with him.
History/Background: Charlie hails from a city in Florida, and he has a twin brother Tommy who's also a mutant. After Tommy went missing, Charlie left the city to Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning. Charlie still believes his brother is alive, but doesn't know where he is.

((Also, he's an edited version of the main character in a story I'm writing.))

2011-06-14, 04:35 PM
Name: Avonique "Ava" Faye
Codename: Hex

Age: 16
Height: 5ft 6 inches
Weight: Like a girl would say 53Kg/115lbs

History/Background:

Ava's mother was a mutant that fell in love with a handsome suave and very rich man that promised her the world even after learning she could absorb kinetic energy at will. After a night of passion and a few weeks of morning sickness Ava's mother learned she was pregnant and tried hiding it from her father afraid he would leave. Upon finding out the man was ecstatic and begged her to keep the child and even to marry him.

Before she could conceive it was learned that should she try and conceive the child her power would more than likely kill it. Ava was despondent, but her husband had a solution and begged Ava to trust him. Unfortunately for Ava she did, and he introduced a mystical poison to her at the start of birth that shut her power down and he tricked her into signing her soul away to a Demon.

It turned out that he was an Apostle of a demon and it was the demon that impregnated her. The man promised to raise the child as his own until the day his master claimed her for his own.

Ava grew up a normal child and was sweet and caring but always felt a dark urge inside her. Her teachers introduced her to emotional counseling when she admitted she thought of killing someone that made fun of her pointy ears.

Ava was an excellent gymnast and enjoyed hiking with her "father" who was a professor of occult studies, and she enjoyed the tales he would tell. Her life would change suddenly on the eve of her 14th birthday.

That night her true father would come calling, but intervention happened as her mother's soul freed itself from her bonds and came back to Ava leading her to a secret room in her house. It contained records of what had happened and remnants the man had kept of her mother, mainly jewelry and a diary.

Her mother tried to comfort the crying girl as she learned everything, but was pulled back to her post-death residence. Angry and crying Ava went to confront the man who raised her. Interrupting him in the middle of the ceremony caused a magical backlash that flung him against a wall and set the room ablaze with hellfire. The scare was enough to activate her power and keep her from being thrown against the wall as she absorbed the backlash. Deep in her something awakened that night, that wanted to taste more of the magic, and she reached out absorbing some of the hellfire.

The ceiling began to cave in and frightened Ava into firing off an innate field of energy repelling the debris and waking her from her almost lustful trance. She ran from the building and watched it cave in. The paramedics found her in shock rocking on a curb clutching her mother's jewelry and diary.

She became a ward of the state, but stood to inherit a good amount of money. It was determined that she would become a ward of the Xavier institute.

Ability/Mutation:
Magical absorption and channeling into weapons(mainly whip, swords, and darts)

Repelling shield (when frightened/startled protection instinct kicks in a personal field explodes outward to repel everything to at least a 10 foot distance.

Potential for actual magic use, but magic scares her.

Her mother was a kinetic absorbing immortal mutant and her father was a strong demon.

Appearance
http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/6614/tek0f58326.png (http://tektek.org/avatar/43663954)

Ava is a Platinum Blonde with bright green eyes and a playful smile. Her hair has since gained a natural black streak running from the top of her head down behind her left ear. She is slender and athletic, and was a gymnast until two years ago. She normally keeps her hair shoulder length and has her hair put into pigtails or straightened out for formal events. Her ears are normally covered as they are slightly pointed, not extremely recognizable but she is fairly self conscious about them.

Her demonic side presents itself as she tries to push her magical limits and she starts to turn slightly demonic with more pointed ears and begins to grow a tail. Her skin turns a slightly red hue and her eyes glow with a deep purple.

While Ava doesn't enjoy reading about fashion, she normally has an innate sense of style that knows what looks good. Her clothes change constantly but she is always wearing either a locket with her mothers picture, a platinum bracelet, hanging diamond earrings, or some combination of them. She likes wearing black and white dresses, a yellow sundress, or a white top with black jeans.

Personality:

Ava deals with the duality of her nature by embracing both her wilder side by enjoying dangerous physical activities (sky diving, motorcycles, and rock climbing) while engaging her more mental side by engaging in mindful activities (yoga, meditation, and self research). The problem is this makes her fairly difficult to predict from day to day, some are intrigued but most feel she has a screw loose. Ava is kind and loyal, but exudes a lustful and dark energy that leaves people uneasy around her.

Ava doesn't care much if people like her, but just wants to be understood which is difficult considering her nature to be shy and timid, and then switch to overbearing and in your face.

As she over uses magic without controlling it she can lean more towards devious and sly. [/spoiler]

Other items:
She always carries the diary of her mother either physically or the scanned version on her notepad. She also has some version of her mother's high class old money jewelry on.

Name: Marcus "Slick" Yang
Codename: Irezumi
Age: 17
Height: 5'11''
Weight: 148 pounds
Ability/Mutation: Hightened senses and reflexes

Appearance: Marcus appears to be the average American high school student at first glance. He has dark blue eyes, medium length black hair, and a clean-shaven face. He usual wears a long sleeve shirt to cover his yakuza-style tattoos, as well as a pair of old, hand-me-down jeans. It's fairly obvious that most of his clothes come from thrift stores.

Personality: Marcus is charasmatic when he needs to be, and he saves his voice for special occasions. When his services are not required, Marcus keeps his head down and tries to blend in as much as possible.

Other items: A black, leather briefcase with clothes wadded up inside, as well as an unloaded Taurus .357 magnum revlover, and a cigarette box of .357 cartridges. In his pocket, Marcus usually carries a well maintained straight razor. Cell phone. Some cash.

History/Background: Marcus was abandoned by his birth parents on the steeple of a church mere minutes after his birth. He was raised rough, in a time when orphans were many and food was scarce.
At the tender age of ten, Marcus was adopted by Andrew Yang, a Japanese-American man who happened to also be one of the founding members of the Yakuza mafia in the United States. Marcus was raised by Yang until recently, when Yang was brutally murdered and Marcus was forced to flee from Yakuza rivals. His final destination: X-Academy.

2011-06-14, 11:34 PM
Name: Rebecca Nash
Age: 15
Height: 5’7
Weight: 121 lbs.
Ability/Mutation: Rebecca’s mutation is a subtle, but potentially deadly one. At her command, her hands can release various hormones which can cause cells to die, become cancerous or mutated in another way, or duplicate at rapid speed, although she must be touching the cell(s) that she wishes to affect. The duplication enhances the speed and lowers the amount of nutrients needed by the cells to duplicate. However, the cells are weaker and not as effective in their roles, so eventually the body will replace them with stronger cells of the same type. In addition, she has not yet fully mastered her ability to cause cancer or other mutations.
Appearance: Rebecca is somewhat frail and palid, with a slight build.
Rebecca has light brown hair and drowsy cerulean eyes. She is not ravishing, but certainly not hideous. She always looks very stressed, as anyone that looks at her could tell you.
Personality: Rebecca is studious and is easily frustrated. She wishes she could just go back home and lead a normal life with her family, though she hides this from others and is often depressed. Rather than focusing on developing her powers like many mutants do, Rebecca prefers to learn more about politics so she can eventually attempt to have both mutants and humans treated equally. This is partly due to the obvious desire for equality, but also because she still cannot bring herself to face that she is abnormal. As a result, she has very little self-esteem. Though she keeps a calm facade during the day, she often cries at night.
Other items: Rebecca has a photo album of her childhood, as well as multiple binders for storing information on politics and the government.
History/Background: Rebecca grew up with a relatively normal life, living in a wealthy family. However, all of that changed when her dog got cut on a thorn one day. She rushed over, seeing that he was bleeding, and somehow his cut seems to heal before her eyes as she touched it. Her parents saw this, but chose to ignore it. Later, when mutants arrived from the Academy to pick her up, her parents decided that she should go for her own good.

Name: Scott Tylers
Codename: Icer
Age: 16
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 131lbs

Ability/Mutation: Scott is a developing cryokinetic and reality warper. He has the ability to coat his hands in club-like ice growths. He also can quickly skate across most surfaces by coating his feet and the ground in ice. He can slowly freeze water and with effort sculpt existing ice. He has no control over his reality warping abilities and is completely unaware of them. They unconsciously manifest in beneficial ways. Like waking up coincidentally before an ambush, or shortening reaction time and arcing a bullet to help avoid being shot. By combing his two abilities unconsciously he transforms the point of injury to organic ice making him incredible durable. This effect is governed by his reality warping powers as such he must be conscious, but doesn't need to be aware of the threat.

Appearance: Scott is a 16 year old boy who is short for his age with a broad shouldered wrestlers build. He has light brown hair that is kept short and crystal clear blue eyes. His street clothes invariably consist of a blue bandanna with a red X logo, red sunglasses, a t-shirt, pants, and sneakers. When "suited up" he wears deep blue with a bright red X over his torso as well as red boots and gloves. When Scott does get injured the injury resembles translucent ice rather than flesh and blood. Despite this he does not heal any faster than a normal person.

Personality: Scott is torn by his attempts to emulate is two idols. He wants to have fun like Nightcrawler and attempts to show off and play charging off single handedly saving the day in a suitably dramatic fashion. Yet he also feels Cyclops was the heart of the team who held things together when it got rough. He wants to be a reliable team member that can always be counted on to pull through for the team. He tries to be the guy that keeps everyone focused on the mission and strictly adheres to the rules. Scott has high standards for himself and takes criticism poorly and since he is completely unable to hide his emotions is moody and sulks when he messes something up.

Other items: Scott only has two items from his previous life, a pair of red sunglasses and am X Logo bandanna. They're the only things he ever bought that weren't just to get by so he cherishes them as reminders that life can get better, and that it's now his responsibility to help others.

History/Background: Scott was raised in a broken home in the upper peninsula of Michigan. His parents, while never actually hitting him, abused him emotionally his entire life. His father is a cheat, an alcoholic, and addicted to cocaine. His mother is an alcoholic with a gambling problem. Of course none of these issues were their fault, no they were all because of the son they had. They were in financial ruin because of the costs of raising a kid, not because they couldn't hold steady jobs and wasted their money on drugs and gambling. Yet they were his parents what could he do? He stayed and took it all. He worked and supported the house the best he could, usually being the only one to buy groceries. Scott hero worshipped the X-Men since he learned of them, but his parents were strongly anti-mutant causing even more resent and friction in the house. Then his powers manifest and he ran knowing his parents at best would throw him out anyway. He fled never looking back, knowing no one would bother to look for him. Ecstatic at the possibilities that had suddenly opened before him he made his way from Michigan and began to seek out the X-Men.

I had a Idea about a counter part to Creeds mutant to build a continuity sorta. If that's o.k with him)

Name: Kori Akera
Codename: None
Age: 24
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 160
Ability/Mutation: Can Create a energy through just his appendages or anything he might be holding. Manifests itself in blue flame. Causes is to be very effective in smashing or slicing through otherwise unable objects.
Side note: This guy is a bad guy. Not X-men.

Appearance:Filipino/Japanese. Tall but able to blend in and appear out of seemingly nowhere. Pale, Black hair falling over his head and face.
Looks like this:http://www.everythingtarantino.com/kill_bill/kb_anime2.jpg

Weapon: Uses Katana as main out-lit of his mutant energy.

Personality: Prefers to work out of leadership technically but is really controlling things to his advantage behind the scenes working for both sides of a fight getting as much money and benefit from them.

History/Background: He Killed Marcus' adopted father when he learned of his powers and wanted to use him as his protege. He worked his way through the underworld building an empire that no one even knew was his. He collected many different mutant apprentices but he still searches for Marcus.

Name: Darja "Vladimira" Barana
Codename: Bat
Age: 15
Height: 1.73m/5'8''
Weight: Very low
Mutation: Enhanced and alternate nerve system and limited kinetic energy-manipulation derived from it. Grants her above-average speed, reflexes and agility as well as limited hovering, potential flight in certain conditions and the ability to climb walls unaided. Her powers grant her a so-far weak radar sense and nightvision as well. Her hovering is very temporary and ineffectual without a cape, parachute or other help against the harsh mistress that is gravity.

Appearance: Tall-ish, relatively slender Russian girl with black eyes and similar hair loosely falling down to just above her elbows. Bat usually lives up to her name by dressing in clothing that would fit equally well in a Bram Stoker novel and a Gothic coven. Commonly a velvet dress or deliberately victorian-esque suits. She wears a Draculan cape or a long coat as often as possible to best utilise her powers. Almost all of her clothing contain some form of skull imagery, it's basically a requirement of the style.
[Puicture delayed because of exams]
Personality: Bat is at first glance the typical snarky and pessimistic loner that most expect when hearing the word Goth. But upon closer inspectionl she is far from that deadpan and is quite optimistic for someone who would no doubt delve into the dark arts at the slightest hint of an opportunity. She has a love for the occult and all things of the Gothic and horror genres and readily laugh at the popular imitations that claim to be about sparkling vampires.
Other items: plenty of occult jewelry; rosarios, ankhs, pentagrams and more. Capes and cloaks in black and red.
History/Background: Born in Moscow and raised partly there and partly in York by parents that, by her own description, were "atrosciously bright and ignorant". Rarely ever agreeing with her parents on anything during her childhood, especially not on what is appropriate for an eight-year-old to read, and knowing fully well that they held the same short-sighted view as many who had opposed the X-men she found the emergence of her powers a welcome excuse to flee in the appropriately moonless night. Using the allowance she relucantly had to accept from her parents, doubting the X-men would appreciate theft, she made her way to America and Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning.

2011-06-15, 01:57 PM
Name: Clay Carver
Codename: Petrol
Age: 16
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 159 lbs.
Ability/Mutation: Petroleum Body. Clay can shift any part of his body to petroleum. This allows him to fire blasts of petroleum from his hands, and avoid most physical damage (punches, projectiles etc. will just pass through his liquid body.) However, only his body can transform, so he has a tendency to lose or ruin clothes. He also can incorporate other sources of petroleum into his body to heal himself (such as gas from cars).

Appearance: A relatively normal looking teenager with an average build. Though since coming to the Xavier academy, his physical conditioning has improved and now looks pretty fit. Dark brown eyes and short, patchy dark brown hair. Wears long sleeved shirts/hoodies and long pants even in hot weather to hide numerous burn scars that cover his body. While his face remains rather unmarred, the burns can be seen on his neck down. His hair has managed to grow back, but you can tell that it's not all there. Though he goes through clothes rather quickly due to his physical nature, his favorite outfit is longsleeved brown shirt with tan cargo pants. Caucasian.

Personality: Clay likes to put on a tough facade, but in reality he just wants to make friends. He is self-concious about not only his mutant body, but his physical one as well due to the burns he tries to hide under his clothes. Due to events and the treatment he received growing up, he tends to push others away, and tries not to care about anything. Extreme fear of fire.

Other items: Small, slightly burnt, family photo he carries around with him at all times, memories of a happier time.

History/Background: Clay was born to a working class family, a middle child with an older sister and younger brother. Both parents worked to support them, and while they weren't rich, they were happy. When Clay's younger brother was born, he had a very visible mutation - two ram like horns sprouted from his head. His parents were shocked at first, but knew that this was still their child and loved him all the same.

As Clay's brother got older, the horns grew in and became more noticeable. Clay frequently got into fights at school, protecting his little brother - as a result he didn't have many friends, and spent most of his early years at school ostracized.

The situation soon boiled over. The bullies from school had equally nasty parents, who were very anti-mutant. They tried to push Clay's family out of town, and when they refused to move - things became violent. Clay's father and one of the other fathers came to blows on their front lawn. Clay's father won and chased him off, but that was just the catalyst for tragedy.

Later that night, while the family was sleeping, the anti-mutant crew came and threw a molotov into a window at Clay's house. The fire quickly spread, and it was at this terrible moment that Clay's mutation manifested. Trying to pull his little brother away from the flames, Clay's body was quickly caught in the fire and began to burn rapidly as his form fell apart to liquid petroleum. This did nothing but to help the fire spread at an even greater rate. The floor collapsed under Clay, and his now liquid body seeped into the basement of their house.

When Clay awoke, he was in the burn ward being treated. He was informed that the house burned down at an alarming rate and that there was no time for anyone to escape. They found his body lying amongst the rubble badly burned but miraculously alive. Needless to say, Clay was devastated.

After some time in the ward, Clay was visited by a member of Xavier's school for the gifted. It seems that the hospital found out about his mutant nature and quietly informed the school, as Clay would have nowhere to go once he was released. The recruiter told Clay that his life was a gift, and he shouldn't waste it being vengeful. He should use his powers to protect those that were like his family, accepting and loving. Revenge would just serve to hurt more people. It was then Clay decided to join Xavier's school.

It has been 3 or so years since that event, and Clay is a member and resident at Xavier's School for the Gifted. He is still finding out about his powers, and learning how to forgive - though sometimes it is difficult to not crave vengance against those that took everything from him.

Name: John "Jack" Harper
Codename: Lazarus
Age: 17
Height: 6 "4"
Weight: 180 lbs
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/4499/tekab48965.png (http://tektek.org/avatar/43674490)
Mutation: Lazarus has an annoyingly limited healing factor. It kicks in only when he's exposed to damage that would end a human life. Cutting, stabbing, bruising, broken bones? Nothing. A bullet to the head, opened vein, or jumping off a cliff? He'll be back up and about, usually in about an hour. The scientists at the school have theorized that it could simply be his body's way of conserving energy, limiting the amount of time spent healing trivial wounds. In any case the restoration is usually complete, unless something happens to prevent or alter the regeneration. He always regenerates to the same moment in his life, the first time he died. As a result he doesn't seem to have aged since that day.
Appearance: Black hair, brown eyes with little flecks of green and blue. Scruffy when he forgets to shave, has taken up shaving with a straight razor. Lazarus tends to wear jeans and a white t-shirt with an unbuttoned black button up. Runs around in black tennis shoes.
Personality: Lazarus is pretty cheerful for a guy who kills himself on a nearly daily basis. He's learned to accept that his particular power means a fairly low chance of ever winding up on one of the more proactive X-men teams. He's developed a weird combination of a devil may care and cowardly attitude, willing to do almost anything if he's fairly certain he'll "die" in the attempt, but deathly (Heh. Pun) afraid of being injured in a nonlethal manner. Often willing to act as a guinea pig for others testing or experimenting with their powers.
Other items: Lazarus carries his straight razor anywhere the faculty will allow both for sentimental and decidedly more practical reasons.
History/Background: "There's one thing I want to make perfectly clear. I was never depressed. It was an accident. First time trying to shave with a straight blade and I honestly didn't think it was that sharp. Car backfired outside, I jumped, next thing I know I'm waking up on a slab. Few days after that the blue guy swings by and asks if I'd like to go to a private school for the next few years. Sounded like a pretty good deal.
Lazarus is ridiculously evasive about the events that led him to Xavier's. There have been rumors that it was a failed suicide attempt that led to his placement in the school but he will deny them adamantly when asked.

Name:
(currently unknown)

Codename:
Nihilist

Age:
(currently unknown)

Height:
(fluctuates)

Weight:
(fluctuates)

Ability/Mutation:
Nihilist actually has both an 'ability' and a 'curse'. The ability is to negate any force, or effect, to various degrees. A prime example of how this power operates is Nihilist's ability to "air-walk" by limiting/stopping the motion of air particles under his feet. Nihilist's curse is explained in the appearance section.

Appearance:
http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/5576/tek7f71306.png

Nihilist has no fixed physical features, including gender. The entity's traits are determined by the traits of those around it. If there is but a single female within a certain area of Nihilist, Nihilist will (physically) become an exact copy of her. However, if there is a group of people within this undisclosed radius, Nihilist's form will contort to acquire the average of all of their features. The end result of these kinds of shifts are often grotesque to behold when Nihilist is encountered without its obscuring clothing of choice. As such, Nihilist rarely deals with others face-to-face (outside of direct, martial conflict).

Given its physical handicap, Nihilist wears a blend of tight undergarments (with a LOT of stretch to them) under extremely loose clothing. Nihilist's entire wardrobe consists of neutral colors and a gray mask worn at (nearly) all times.

Personality:
Nihilist's approach to everything it does is dispassionate. Whether it is saving a child from a burning building, or using it as a hostage, Nihilist just does not project emotion. Period.

History/Background:
Nihilist has filled the shoes of both hero and villain in its long career as an odds-tipper. With lives having been both saved, and ended, by its hand... -Nihilist is wanted, dead or alive, in nearly every country it has spent any significant amount of time in.

Its role in the story will be neither protagonist nor antagonist so much as it will assume either role interchangeably until it is killed.

Name: Jacques Montressor
Codename: Mirage
Age:17
Height:5'11"
Weight:160 lbs.

Ability/Mutation
Jacques has the ability to evaporate himself into black/blue/purple smoke, then condense himself back into a solid form, but this form can be almost anything he wants. He can also half-vaporize, where certain parts are still smoke and others are solid. However, this is much harder for him to do.
Appearance
He usually wears dark button-down shirts, either navy blue or black, over a lighter shirt, usually gray. His pants are usually faded brown, with leather belts and chains. His feet are covered with a pair of worn out black boots, and over all this he's dressed in an onyx trench coat, with chains on this as well. He also has a pair of black half-gloves he normally wears.
Physically, he has an athletic build, with decent abs, legs, and arms. Not like showy, but considerable. He has mud brown hair which is usually untamed and medium length, often covering his amber eyes and pierced (multiple times) ears. He has a somewhat tan color to his skin, and almost always is smiling or laughing at something.
Personality
The one word which best describes him is sarcastic. He's always making puns over something, coming up with the witty one-liners, and making light of any situation. He's also definitely a prankster. But, when absolutely necessary, he can be serious. He also has a lot of inner strength, having endured a lot, he doesn't need much. However, he does have a slight temper, and is known to ramble on in his native tongue when frustrated.
Background
Jacques was originally born in Paris, but was discriminated against at every turn. Being an orphan, he doesn't even know his family, if they are still alive. He ran away from the orphanage at 13 when he was finally fed up with the other kids constantly teasing him. He escaped to the circus (a place he'd always admired) and found refuge there. The ringmaster used his abilities in a show, and that's where he got his codename from. However, when he turned 16, a new ringmaster was put in charge, and he treated Jacques with cruelty. The other members of the circus tried to stop the man, but he threatened their jobs, and so Jacques left, unable to bare the mistreatment or the idea of putting his friends in danger. He roamed around France for a while, pick=pocketing and stealing when needed (not out of enjoyment, out of necessity), sleeping in back allies and on corners. Finally he decided to go to New York, having heard so much about it, and when there he heard rumors of the Xavier Institute. He decided to join for several reasons; that he may feel he belongs somewhere, that he can further his powers, and that he can help mutants and humans strengthen their relationship.
This is part of his history even he doesn't know. Both his parents were mutants. His mother, Madame Jacqueline Lantin, was a teleporter. His father, Monsieur Pierre Montressor, could make objects become intangible. It is the combination of both his parents genes that allowed him to have such a power. His mother worked for the Moulin Rouge, and his father was a well respected (and well payed) political figure. They met when he was on a weekend vacation, and hit it off. They loved each other, but he knew it would never work out, he could not abandon his business, so instead he abandoned the woman he loved. It also didn't help that he was already engaged to another woman, but it was an arranged marriage and he didn't love her. Still, he felt obligated, so he left. Little did he know that Jacqueline was pregnant, and so when she gave birth, she left her child at the best orphanage she could think of, knowing she could not properly take care of a child. She left a name tag on him, Jacques (after her) and his father's name. Often Jacques has wondered if he was somehow related to Monsieur Montressor, his name being so well known in France, and him having the same last name. But it was a common name, and whenever he asked the Headmistress at the orphanage, she would tell him nothing (it was standard policy, but she truly didn't know anyway.), so he would dismiss these ideas as wishful thinking.
Limits of Mutation
Being only 17, Jacques has yet to fully master his ability. He learned a lot when in the circus, but there are still some areas he needs to work on. Though he can easily evaporate in a short amount of time ( maybe a second or two), the time it takes him to fully solidify varies greatly. Firstly, he can only form into things with an equal or lesser mass than he. If lesser, than whatever it is will have some leftover smoke trailing around it. Also, the more intricate the object, the longer it takes. For example, a swarm of locusts as compared to another person, the bugs will take a little while. Also, non-living things are easier than living things. And, unfamiliar forms will also take longer (there are some things he can already transform into, and the more he does it, the quicker he gets.) As mentioned earlier, he can half-vaporize, however this is harder to do and pretty much impossible when trying out a completely new form. If he wants to though, he can simply stay in his smoke form and move around that way. ( the smoke is a combination of black, blue, gray, and purple colors.)
Also, on a side note, his powers come from his ability to concentrate. In his normal form, he uses no concentration, as with when he is smoke. However, when shifting into another object, it takes a deal of his attention to stay in that form, and the harder it is the more it takes. Therefore, when in another form, he loses some of his ability to pay attention to other things, and that is one of his weaknesses. Also, when he gets very emotional (angry, stressed, saddened, disturbed, etc. (negative feelings.) he can't control his power and so he automatically evaporates and the smoke then begins to spin around at hurricane force winds, causing massive amounts of damage to things nearby. However, he has learned how to control his emotions (for the most part) and so this is something one should not be too afraid of. But still...there is always the chance...

Appearance: In human form he has an athletes body, tall, and muscular. He's the oppitomy of caucasian. Light colored skin, blond hair, shaved into a military haircut, striking blue eyes. In bear form he looks very much like Beast, but with dirty blond/light brown hair, and a more bear-like face
Personality: Quiet, but very thoughful. Intelligent, but not overly so. A good student, but nothing extraordinary. He likes playing the classical strategy games of Chess and Go. His sense of humor is as wide as it is deep. He enjoys working out as much as he does sitting back and reading a good book.

History/Background: Both his mother and father were scientists in Ukraine during the Chernobyl disaster. They were lucky enough to live through the disaster, but they didn't escape unchanged. Thier DNA was changed due to the levels of radiation to which they were exposed. They fled the USSR, defected to the US, and began a new life. years later they had several children, one being Ivan. He speaks both fluent English, and Russian. Around his 13th birthday his mutation showed for the first time, he scared the entirety of his school with his first transformation, and has been home schooled ever since. His parents had to move the family and begin home schooling them for fear of any more showing mutations. Ivan's parents were finally able to enrole Ivan in the Charles Xavier School for Higher Learning, not so much for his academic excellence, but to help him try to master his powers.

Hope it is okay to just post this here .

Name: Maximilian "Max" Cooper-Crowley
Codename: Checkmate
Age: 16
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 180 lbs.
Ability/Mutation:
Maximilian has super-human reflexes and supersonic speed motor skills; this doesn't let him run fast, but he can dodge and react incredibly quickly. The pseudo-scientific explanation is that his X-Gene codes for a unique protein or hormone which accelerates the movements of his body. The chemical is a by-product of intense higher-order brain activity; Maximilian has to be focusing really hard on a complex task (such as melee combat) to activate them. When trying to perform extremely simple tasks (like knocking on a door), he can concentrate on something else that is complex to activate his powers, like a game of mental chess. His codename is Checkmate because, he thinks about chess to activate his powers when doing simple tasks. The reason his powers don't let him run fast is that running requires too much focus to think about chess games, but it is not complex enough to fully activate his powers. Additionally, though not to his knowledge, Maximilian has a sort of uncanny charm; even though he is kind of stand-offish and occasionally rude or apathetic, people tend to like him anyway. He is not aware of this unique charm, but it further helps him get the drop on people in a fight, among other things; another reason why Checkmate is an appropriate name, because he tends to catch people off-guard. Anyone with an X-Gene has a minor resistance to this charm.

Appearance:
Maximilian is in great shape; his father is a judo champion and his mother a rich multi-million heiress, so he has gotten the very best training that Europe has to offer. He has died his hair a dark, navy blue, but its naturally colour is dirty blonde. He typically wears suits and expensive-looking spectacles; for casual wear, he resorts to polo shirts and jeans. He has a very refined-sounding British accent, which he doesn't try to hide. He also constantly wears white suede gloves; he doesn't like touching people, especially when he laying the smackdown on them.

Personality:
Maximilian accepts that his name is really long, so he lets people call him "Max" or "CC" if they want, though he would prefer to be called Maximilian. He is very strict on etiquette and personal composure; if insulted, he maintain his calm, but if the person persists in pushing his buttons, he is not afraid to perform super-fast judo techniques and knock them on their ass.

Other items:
He has about eight sets of spectacles in different colours; his vision is great, but he likes to have them to read with. He also has an extensive wardrobe of suits, dress shirts and polos, as well as dress pants and jeans. He wears white suede gloves at most times, which he has seven identical pairs of.

History/Background:
He is a transfer student from England, where his rich parents thought the educational system there dealt with mutant children in an inadequately personalized fashion. Having heard about the Xavier Institute, they spared no expense in getting Maximilian transferred straight away, to master his powers alongside his education. Maximilian may be somewhat jarred in arriving at the Academy, because mutants have a minor resistance against his inherent charm, and he is used to people liking him no matter how he acts (basically, he doesn't realize that he is kind of a jerk, because no one has ever told him he is, or what a jerk would even be like).

Hopefully this isn't too over-the-top...

Name: Eva Vivian

Codename: "River"

Age: 16

Height: 5' 6"

Weight: 127 lbs.

Ability/Mutation:

Eva has a talent referred to as Sanguinurgy. In layman's terms, she can manipulate the blood of herself or others. If she so chose, she could rip the blood of another being right out of their arteries, inflicting grievous wounds. In theory, she could string someone like a puppet, though she has not demonstrated this. For a less hostile application of her abilities, she can stop severe bleeding at will, or restart the heart of a person in Cardiac Arrest. She can also use her own blood for her abilities, though this has resulted in some scarring on her lower legs, where she draws the blood from when experimenting.

Appearance:

Eva is caucasian, and is in fact extraordinarily pale. While she keeps her powers largely secret, this is because she loses blood daily to her experiments. She has fairly long black hair, though she keeps it dyed red. Before anyone asks, she uses hair dye and not blood for this. She has gray eyes and a fairly thin figure, though not emaciated. She has scars on her lower legs from experimenting with her abilities there.

As for clothing, she wears a lot of red. Mostly so she doesn't have to worry about stains. You will probably never see her wearing white, and she doesn't wear shorts regardless of the temperature. If she's swimming, she's wearing a full wetsuit. In fact, you will probably never see more of her than her head, neck, hands, and feet.

Personality:

Eva is very quiet, socially awkward, and bookish. She blushes easily, and it's highly visible on her pale cheeks. She doesn't get along well with people, and tends to be shunned by any 'popular' crowd. She's slow to anger, but one gets the uncanny notion that she might be just teetering on the edge of sanity; It's probably best not to push her too hard.

Other items:

She doesn't carry around much, other than a small supply of spending money, a pocketknife, and the clothes on her back. She doesn't have a pet: Animals seem to be frightened of her.

History/Background:

Eva was a normal female until one day, she was cornered at high school by a group of the more 'popular' girls, looking for someone to pick on. She was frightened, angry, and indignant, and accidentally invoked powers that she didn't know she even had. The leader of the group, a senior whose details matter not, found that her clothes were rapidly becoming heavier and red streams were running down her chest. She didn't die; Rapid medical attention saw to that, but it did no good for her ability to make friends at school. Gossip and rumors about the incident spread like wildfire, and even her few friends grew terrified of her. One day she finally broke down and told her mother and father what had happened. They were terrified as well, and began to push her away. They put on airs of support, but it was obvious that they no longer wanted anything to do with her. They eventually sent her away to the Institute. A few weeks later, she received a letter telling her that her parents had both committed suicide, with the apparent reason that they couldn't live with the 'knowledge' that their daughter was a witch.

Eva was unable to face the world for days after reading that note, but she seems mostly to have recovered. She has an inheritance from her family, but she's far too traumatized to actually accept it without encouragement from another. Of course, actually gaining said encouragement would require another human being to know why she's upset...

In any case, that sets the scene well enough. Long story short, she's a fairly new arrival with a dark secret who's extremely traumatized.

Name: Susan Decker
Codename: Accelerator
Age: 15
Height: Tall
Weight Build: Lanky
Ability/Mutation:
Accelerator is a good description for what Susan can do, but it's not completely accurate- the technical term is Vector Manipulation. In other words, the redirection of matter and energy that she comes into contact with. This has a wide variety of uses, but the most noticeable application in a fight is that any attack coming at her will get redirected by to its source, with two weaknesses. Firstly, mental attacks ignore her defenses. Second, and less obviously, there's a short delay between entering her area of effect and the redirection. If someone has precise control, they can pull back their attack, and her ability will redirect it towards her instead of away from her.

Susan has imprecise control over this power- if her body views something as harmful, it will redirect it, no matter what she wants. Among other things, this means she currently has to take Vitamin D supplements, as her body only recognises the harmful effects of UV rays, and redirects them away from her.
Appearance:
Susan is a fairly typical 15-year old girl, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and light skin, although the skin is starting to take on a bleached tone. While pretty, she isn't one of the 'stunning' girls in any given group, especially with her semi-bleached skin and the fact that she hates using makeup.

She also doesn't have a particular outfit, generally wearing casual clothing. Nothing pink though. She hates that.
Personality:
Susan is a determined young woman, who, unlike many who have been through the stuff a lot of mutants go though, is still quite determined to get through life as well as she can. She finds it difficult to make new friends- mostly due to a degree of social awkwardness, partially due to a fear of accidentally hurting people due to her ability. That said, she's quite loyal to those friends that she does make, although she doesn't deal with what she views as betrayals well either.
Other items:
Phone, wallet... stuff on a typical 15-year old girl.
History/Background:

Name: David Minder
Codename: I will let the others decide, nicknames are not often chosen by yourself
Age: 17
Height: 5' 7''
Weight: 132 LBS
Ability/Mutation:
He has the ability to grow tendrils out of his body. These tendrils are quite strong and can be controlled through nerves that are formed within the tendril. These tendrils are segmented, consist out of almost all muscle and can be formed on any part of its body. Size of these tendrils can vary.

The necessary energy and building materials seem to come from special glands inside his body. These fill slowly with a cocktail of leftover materials from his consumption. When the tendrils are retracted back into his body the glands get filled with the broken down materials. Losing a Tendril hurts a lot and the pain creates an immediate reflex that retracts the tendril back into Sander’s body. After losing several big tendrils this way Sander will get extremely hungry and will be able to eat twice the normal amount of food. The tendrils itself have a healing factor, but Sander’s main body doesn’t.

It is hypothesized that Sander could change the composition of individual tendrils to create for example an exoskeleton around the tendrils or grow hair out of them or create some form of rudimentary gloves on a tendril by splitting and interweaving small tendrils. He doesn’t have enough control as of yet to make these changes.

Appearance: Sander has greyish blue eyes, short blonde hair that peaks upwards, Thin Frame, his skin looks discoloured on some locations.
He wears loose clothing and usually wears clothes that can be easily taken off: a Vest instead of a sweater. His normal attire consist of loose pants a normal T-shirt and vest and no shoes He has some good shoes in his room, but he only wears these if they are really needed.

Personality: He loves a good challenge and will gladly accept any he thinks he could win. He isn't the most outspoken person and leans more towards introvert than extrovert. He loves gaming and will happily try any game.

Other items: He always carries with him a 5 cent coin and a die

History/Background: His powers manifested at the age of 16, His first time using his power was when he tried to pick up some snacks while still playing a match against his friend. Sander only noticed it when his friend stopped playing against him and looked at him in terror.

Afterwards he tried not to show his powers and he made his friend promise not to tell anybody. Even so he got into a social isolation feeling that he was different. He did try out his power when no one could see him just to understand what had happened and how this worked.

After a while he was contacted by the Xavier institute and heard about others like him. He was immensely interested and asked his parents if he could study abroad. His parents, who he hadn’t told about the accident or his powers, were reluctant but eventually said yes.

He plans on telling his parents, but how or when he doesn’t yet know.
