So we're revisiting an old high-power campaign we never got around to finishing.

Our party includes a Demilich. The BBEG is an Atropal. Is there any way to get the Demilich immunity to Rebuking? Otherwise it'll instantly dominate him and have him start eating our souls - which would be bad.

The only creature I know to be immune to turning is a Vampire Lord. And I doubt your DM would allow in my custom templates that combine Liches with Vampires and Demiliches with Vampire Lords.

The lowly spell Death Ward (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/deathWard.htm), although you'll need to count as "living" for the initial casting (Spark of Life, Spell Compendium):
The subject is immune to all death spells, magical death effects, energy drain, and any negative energy effects(Emphasis added)

Vs. Rebuke Undead (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/specialAttacks.htm#evilClericsandUndead):
Evil clerics channel negative energy to rebuke (awe) or command (control) undead(Emphasis added)

A Scarab of Protection (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#scarabofProtection) will do it for anyone for a time (12 times, specifically), without needing to jump through hoops.

And, of course, there's Polymorph (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/polymorph.htm) and similar effects, which make it so you're not undead anymore, and thus can't be Rebuked.

Firstly he's a demilich. Read the entry again. Ah, right; Turn Resistance-20, so he counts as having 41+ hit dice, and the Atropal only Rebukes as a Cleric-72 (unless it's advanced...) so the Atropal is at least ten points shy (by default) of being able to Command him.

Mind you, the Atropal can still no-save Rebuke the Demilich, and it's no fun doing nothing for ten rounds in the middle of a battle, generally.

Build him an iron golem body with him sitting in the head?

If it denies Line-of-effect, then the Demilich is effectively out of the fight. If it does not deny Line-of-effect, it doesn't prevent the Atropal from Rebuking the Demilich into uselessness (or worse, if it's an advanced Atropal).

It's about the atropal not knowing that he's a demilich.

Between Knowledge(Arcana)+78 and Knowledge(Religion) the same, that's rather unlikely, unless you arrange for a 90 HD construct to make the DC 100 - which, while doable in Epic, is likely a bit more expensive than the OP budgets for.
