Optimizing a wizard(necromancer) for world conquest.

So I have a necromancer character, and I'd like him to at some point conquer the world, with legions of dead and living soldiers at his call.

Assuming it can at least in part be gained by good roleplay, what should I do to optimize towards large scale conflicts?

Leadership, and the leadership related feats in Heroes of Battle. If you can, use the commander auras from HoB, as well as the Legendary Leader PrC.

Bard cohorts are fun, especially with the Requiem feat.
