Relatively simple question: A druid with Improved Trip wild shapes into a wolf. He bites, and trips, his foe. Does he get an additional attack immediately after the trip?

Slightly less simple answer: A Druid's Wild Shape inherits from the Alternate Form (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/specialAbilities.htm#alternateForm) special ability. The Alternate Form special ability states that you gain the extraordinary special attacks of your assumed form. A wolf's Trip attack is an extraordinary special attack, so he gets the attack. Alternate Form states that the creature retains its own feats. The trip granted by the wolf's Trip special attack refers to the rules of the trip special attack (subheading Combat) rather than defining its own sequence of events, so the Improved Trip feat applies.
