I want to try and make a 3 Paladin/6 Artificer either a Kalastar or a Human, but I'm at a loss for feats and infusion selection.

Starting gear nets me +1 Chain Shirt, +1 Longsword, +1 light shield, and a wand of Magic Missile

wow you mustn't like synergy. Why do you want to play a kalishtar without entering a psionic class? Dipping into paladin only makes sense if you are playing a high charisma character but artificers easily can dump charisma.

Edit:
If you buy magic of eberron you can play a psionic artificer kalishtar.
Also if you like making magic items and the paladin you could play a kensai.

There's really no reason to be a Psionic Artificer Kalashtar either, Psionic Artificers don't use power points.
