Help with a computer problem

Avast keeps telling me that there's a malicious site being blocked and it keeps mentioning this.


"C:\Windows\SysWOW64\aaclient32.exe"

I'm not sure what this means or what I'm supposed to do with it. Anybody know what the problem is?

aaclient32.exe is not a normal Windows file--there's an aaclient.dll that's present in that location, but no EXE. I would therefore get AVG to clean or delete that file.

Just tried to google that file, top hit is this thread.

I will second that my computer has no such file. (Win 7 64 bit).

So get AVG to nuke the bugger with extreme prejudice.

Sounds like you have aquired a new virus that has no definition as yet and it is trying to download more viruses from a known bad site. I think AVG has the option to send them samples of a virus, so do this as well if you can. (Ideally before you nuke it, cos you know...the other way round and all...)
