FR - Raumathari Battlemage

I have a question about the Raumathari Battlemage's "Battle Spell" ability.

As the RB levels, does he gain 1/day uses of Sudden Still, Sudden Silent, etc or does he gain a daily pool of uses and can pick any of the MM feats that he has gained access to?

Example 1: 4th Level Raumathari Battlemage
1/day Battle Spell (Silent)
1/day Battle Spell (Still)

or

Example 2: 4th Level Raumathari Battlemage
2/day Battle Spell, (Still or Silent)

If it matches the online version (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20030413c), it seems to be something of a middle option. First, you gain the ability to use Silent, and one use per day. Second, you gain another use, and the ability to use Still with that use, and so forth.

So, you can use Silent up to five times per day, and once per day each you can trade a use of Silent for one of the other uses.

As written (which could be better, admittedly) it appears to me that at 2nd level, you can apply Silent Spell once per day.

At 4th level, you can apply Silent Spell once per day, and Still Spell once per day. You can't use Silent Spell twice. Etc.

In other words, as you level, you gain the ability to apply each of the various metamagics once per day, once each.
