Monster Character feats

So if I'm playing a monster character from Savage species do I gain feats as regular characters (1, 3, 6, etc) or do I gain them based on hit die?

I ask because there is some confusion if the "feat" listed in the class box is a bonus feat or the feats I get. According to the Savage Species progression box, a Succubus gains a feat at level 1, level 4, and level 10. Is this in addition to my normal level up feats or is this flat out my only feats?

I assume its the same based on attribute bonus? 4, 8, 12, 16, 20?

Feats and ability score increases are always based on Character Level (Hit Dice), not Effective Character Level (Hit Dice + Level Adjustment).

Monster classes include both Hit Dice and Level Adjustment in their 'levels'.

Yup.

You gain wealth at your ECL, though. So there's that.

And what would my ECL be based on being a Savage Species succubus? Same as my character level? I'm a bit unsure if any of the LA, CR, etc of a regular succubus effects me.

Your ECL is your "level" in the Succubus class. At Succubus "level" 10, you have a Character Level of 6 and an Effective Character Level of 10.

CR does not affect you at all. Ignore it.

Alright cool thanks. I'm currently Succubus 4. So my ECL is 4 and my character level is 3.
