ah... fortification, my favorite armor enhancement.

I recall reading/seeing somewhere that the crit-negate of the fortification enhancement also applies to things like sneak attack, or precision damage to use the broader term.

is this true?

if so

where can I find this written down somewhere?

This suit of armor or shield produces a magical force that protects vital areas of the wearer more effectively. When a critical hit or sneak attack is scored on the wearer, there is a chance that the critical hit or sneak attack is negated and damage is instead rolled normally.

It's written right into it...

Note that a Rogue can get around much of this with the Lightbringer Penetrating Strike ACF. You give up trap sense to be able to sneak attack foes normally immune when you flank them, but with ½ normal sneak dice. Craven bonus sneak attack damage isn't from dice, so that isn't reduced. The combination (Lightbringer Penetrating Strike + Craven feat) results in about 68% of full sneak attack damage, which isn't bad against 100% fortification.
