Actually, I have noticed this phenomena a lot. Topic beget similar topics. My personal theory is that when you see something already being discussed it assures you that there is a level of interest in the topic and means you are more likely to get replies.

I think this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195049) is the thread you are looking for.

Heh, the third thread's like one of those people that just watch arguments develop and gives comments on them.

My favorite pairings are versions of "warmage/healer/whatever sucks compared to (tier 1 class)!" next to "How do I stop tier 1's from raping my campaign?" The irony is just awesome. :smallamused:

How is that irony?:smallconfused: They are both complaining about the same thing.

Both threads aren't so different I don't think. I started the wizard hate one because of the fact that my DM hates my wizard for being awesome.

Still, funny thing to notice.

It's ironic, because in the first case, someone wants to play a Tier 1 class, but they like the existing fluff of a lower Tier class and can't see a way to justify to themselves playing that Tier 1 class with the fluff they like. In the second case, someone IS playing a Tier 1 class, and it's way too powerful for the game that it's being used in, where the DM would most likely prefer people to play lower Tier classes (Healer, Monk, Samurai....)

In short, no matter what happens, some people are always unhappy. And there will always be arguments on the internet.

One is the solution to the other, but no one ever seems to recognize that.

There was a small cluster of Divine Mind threads going for a while too. People read a topic and it reminds them of another question that had been in the back of their minds, that's all.
