User status [online/offline]

Anyway of having the little green bulb that sais "user is online" into a table?
like:

That actually changes from ONLINE to OFFLINE when user does?

I'd imagine it'd be useful to see if players in a game are online.

I haven't actually used it, but doesn't the buddy list provide similar functionality?

I want to know specifically about table use of it.
I like to have Friend list for actual friends, not for everyone in everygame I am in.

And for the 1st question.

It is for helping in a game with multiple parties to know who is online at a simple glance.

No, you're just making the page load the "online" image there. It will always be green. I'm not aware of any means to make an actually dynamic one in a post.

I think he knows that he's just showing the user online image, it was just an example for us to see what he means.

I believe there would also be issues related to the voluntary invisibility allowed by the board
