Hey guys,
I was hoping you all could assist me in brainstorming a progression (or at least give tips) on creating a FR Campaign Paladin who plans on progressing into Cavalier (or another build that offers all around optimization).
This progression is for my wife--she isn't very worried about damage, and hoping for some cool fluff/flavor. From a DM perspective, however, she will be the primary meat shield and does hope to fulfill the role well.

Oi! Class stuffs:
We're starting level 1 with equipment assigned by DM. 26 point buy with only one stat allowed in the negative. +2 Skill points per level.
