It started on the last Monday of April 2009.
At first it was just an ordinary evening with the stars glittering in the night sky. Then they all went out for 138 minutes and came rushing back brighter than ever and even to the naked eye one could tell that they were more numerous than before. Hours later, NASA and several other organizations released simultaneous statements indicating that the number of stars had increased 230%, more than triple the number previously known.
A few weeks later came the first incidents. The little old lady from Indiana who walked away from a collision with a semi, the repeat of the Tianamen Square incident caught on a thousand mobile phones with all the actors from the original involved (including the unfortunate student), the little boy from Somalia who turned a group of armed men into their equivalent weight in fruit, grain and fresh chicken and beef.
After a few months, persons eerily similar to beloved comic book characters appeared on the streets of St. Petersburg, London, New York and Tokyo rumors raced across the internet at the speed of thought claiming to have seen portals to other worlds.
This is the world today as we now it. Let it be a kind one...
