So my group is plannig a D20 modern campaign and as I've never played one before I have a somewhat joking somewhat serious question. Are there Jets? and if not has anyone statted up a Jet? I wann go Swat Cats (Catfolk {Mechanic or Artificer, or whatever the paralell is) a la http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_AdxJWFUh4&feature=related I don't think that's too much to ask? right? failing being able to do this in D20 modern, I'm working on someway to bring a Jet into our Pathfinder game so Far I've worked out that it would be a Large or Huge Construct, Large for 1 person, but I'm thinking huge just so it has a two people requirement. It will have a 50ft base speed and a 120ft fly speed (good) and some sort of Magic Missile affect with the caster level being determined by half the overall character levels of the pilots. To operate they'll need a profession pilot and a knowledge of some sort. Thoughts?

go psion and use this. If you do the pathfinder thing.

there is a guide somewhere about using astral construct as a mech, a jet would be less of a stretch.

10 feet per round is 60 feet per minute is 3600 feet per hour is 0.68 mph. Even a modest 300 mph jet is 500 times that, or about 5000 feet. 2500 feet on a single move I suppose. I'd give it average maneuverability for a fighter jet, poor for most everything else, and clumsy for a 747. The run action is not an option for any of those.

Good maneuverability means it can hover like a helicopter. Also a bit slower, 100-200 mph maybe, or 750-1500 feet per single move. Maybe that's what you want? Or an even slower hovercar with a wheeled mode? EDIT: Ah the cartoon jet is probably more like a harrier. Average maneuverability stillo but with the hover feat so it can hover and move at half speed. Probably 600 mph as well, if not a couple thousand mph.

Yeah, I know my Jet was underspeeded but Imagine trying to sell that to a DM. I always try to make things that seem like they could be approved.

I've looked for it too and not been able to find it. Which is upsetting because I think a Mech in DnD would be Epic.
