Gotta say, I've been rather looking forward to fighting the so-feared loredrake of terror (good for me this is one fight that is tactically not that bad for me to lose).

Wouldn't Skewer get an AoO from this? The text on frightened says the subject flees from the source of the fear as best as it can, and that if unable to flee, it may fight. In this scenario Skewer is indeed unable to flee during the casting of the spell, as it is currently Faq's turn.

I can't find anything saying you wouldn't be able to take an AoO for that; unlike panicked, frightened doesn't say you can't take other actions. Faq may still revise his action if he wishes, of course.

If he can move, is he allowed to take an AoO? For instance, when he starts to flee on his turn, and I ready an action to blast him on movement, would that still garner an AoO since he can actually move?

Faq:Yes; my ruling wasn't based on the 'unable to flee' part of the description, and as the AoO is a non-action, it doesn't interfere with his flight.
