View Full Version : Incorporeal Subtype~LA Needed

Most creatures with this subtype all seem to be undead. I was wondering what kind of Level Adjustment this would create. I'm trying to make a race that's Incorporeal. Or even some ability similar to the Psion Uncarnate's Shed Body could work I just need to figure out what the level adjustment would be.

Savage Species says its worth +2 LA. It's Savage Species so take it with a grain of salt, but the advantages (Charisma to AC, 50% immunity to non-ghost touch/force effects) are rather large.

Unbodied (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/unbodied.htm) are LA +4 (with 4 RHD), but they get other tricks as well. Just throwing that out as a data point.

Seeing as the Race I was thinking of building not only had a +2 to Cha but a +2 to Dex too, maybe. hmm.

So
Race "Y"
Medium Humanoid (Incorporeal)
+2 Cha, +2 Dex, −2 Str, −2 Con
30ft Speed

would be reasonable for a LA +2

Into a mechanic suitable for a lower LA, or should I just stick with what I have?

If you have the incorporeal subtype you have Str - unless you have an ability to become corporeal. Even so it removes most of the effects of low strength.

And not at the moment.
