I already knew the story, but only on a level kinda "legends and lore", without this level of details.

A great read, thanks for sharing.

Also, I'm sort of reverse-engineering this at the moment. I'm taking D&D 3.5 and turning it into a hybrid RPG-wargame, called legion, in which each player controls an army of their own as well as their player character.
