What would be a good system for running a setting where some sort of alien robots are attacking (or have already attacked) mankind? It should be able to fairly realistically and dynamically represent both modern human weaponry and killer robots of varying sizes, while still making creative and cool stunts possible, slightly beyond realism.

Bliss Stage (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlissStage), except for the realism :smalltongue:

I understand Cthulhutech (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CthulhuTech) does a better job, but I haven't played it myself.

Combine D20 modern future and Apocalypse, that should be about perfect for for what your thinking of running.

I'm actually writing a campaign world based off of the old Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9c2K4Jl5LI) cartoon. I'm using D20 apocalypse. I've had to score my RPG collection for dinosaur stats, but it's looking pretty good so far. Fortunately its not hard to convert monster stats from 3.5 to D20 modern.

I would go with Spycraft 2.0 the vehicle rules are detailed action dice and stunts are included. Also the dramatic conflict rules are very good for chases, hacking and other types of non combat conflict.
