Chaos Gnome Spell Power: What is it good for?

I've started playing in a PbP recently where I made a Chaos Gnome Bard, whose worked out fairly well so far. Most of the racial abilities seem useful, except for Spell Power. When I went looking for spells with the chaos descriptor, they are apparently few and far between, mostly existing in the Chaos domain. Not even Confusion or its variants seem to have it as a descriptor. So I ask, the Playground, will I ever actually use this ability without picking up Arcane Disciple(Chaos)? Are there really spells with the chaos descriptor out there somewhere?

Apart from the big ones (fire cold lightning etc) most of the other descriptors tend to be few and far between.

I think there may be a prestige class (or something like that) which lets you attach your alignment descriptor to spells that you cast?

Are you using Spell Compendium? If not that may add an additional small handful of spells to your repertoire.
