I've noticed something. It is against the rules to revive old threads.
Why don't you (Moderators) close old threads to avoid necromancy? Why leave them open to posts if it isn't allowed? I don't know if there are warnings or infractions for thread necromancy but it wouldn't hurt to avoid such possibility, just in case.

Because not all thread necromancies are prohibited and because manual locking would take valuable moderator time and creating an auto-lock system would take other kinds of resources.

I do recall Rawhide saying that somewhere on his list is a pop-up warning when someone tries to post on a too old thread, so that at least people be warned that it's old.
