Their world was beautiful.
It was paradise.
It was almost perfect......

But they decided that "almost" wasn't good enough.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You must be wondering who They are, right? We call them Niemand."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Niemand decided that the imperfections needed to be excised without marring the beauty of their soon-to-be-perfect world.
They toiled away for an indeterminate amount of time and when they were finished they had created that which shall become the end of everything.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Not that they knew it at the time. But if they did know what their actions would cause........no, their pride would allow nothing else."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

A working of the Art so powerful, so grand....even the strongest examples of modern Epic-Magic look like nothing more than the fumblings of an apprentice when compared to that great spell.
They had created "Nothing", the concept of non-existence.
With this "Nothing" the Niemand planned to erase all things that they saw as imperfect, but in their hubris they had created something which they could not control.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Technically nothing can control "Nothing", that sort of the p-" "Shut up! I'm trying to read."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

What we now call the Negative-Energy Plane was born that day, and the Positive-Energy Plane was born as it's reflection.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"A plane representing Existence to mirror one representing Non-Existence, just another example of the multiverse's habit of balancing itself ou-"
"I.SAID.SHUT.UP."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Niemand still exist, their world a cratered ball of ash in the darkest depths of the the Negative-Energy Plane.
Their actions gave birth to the God of Genocide, and woke the being known only as Atropus, the combined reactions of these events has branded them both figuratively and literally.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The descendents of the Niemand are members of that poor group called "Tomb-Tainted Souls", their abberant physiology warped and scarred by negative-energy and the sins of their forefathers.
Curiously they seem to share traits with the Hellbred, the stain of evil from their ancestors prevents their souls from being tainted further.
Even the most kinded-hearted of them is damned to annihilation upon death, a consequence of being a mortal race native to their dreadful home Plane. This may be why so many seek undeath, it is the only alternative to an afterlife they are afforded."

"....That wasn't in the boo-OW! What was for?!"

The Niemand, meaning "Nobody" in german, are a race native to the Negative-Energy Plane.

Their type is Humanoid(Evil).

They posess the "Evil Exception" ability of the Hellbred, with the following exception; they always count as "Evil" for the purpose of Feats, Spells, Magic Items, and Classes.
Their alignment is not affected by having an Evil feat, using an evil spell, or being an evil-only class.
Their alignment is affected be using a spell/item/ability to perform an evil act.
(A successful Use Magic Device check will circumvent the "always count as evil" thing like normal, but only for items)

They have the bonus feats "Abberation Blood", "Tomb Tainted Soul", "Willing Deformity", and "Vile Brand".

When they die their soul is absorbed by the nearest piece of Voidstone and destroyed, nothing but Wish or Miracle can prevent this.

Thats all I have. I was never any good at mechanics. please try to make a balanced race out of this.

P.S. If you think this is garbage then go ahead and say so.

I like the idea, but we need more than a background to make a race.
Does their culture has any weapon proficiency? Are they small/medium/large?
They should probably get some protection from negative energy because that's how evolution works and otherwise they'd get vaporized upon birth.

So basically, we need at least SOME mechanics to work with. Just give it a shot yourself and thecommunity can help balance it.

"Tomb Tainted Soul" means they get damaged by Positive and healed by Negative.
"Evil Brand" takes the shape of a black sunburst, is an open supurating wound somewhere on the body( when they are not being exposed to negative energy the blood clots into a crusty rust-red corana around the wound)

Medium
Darkvision
eyes have glowing irises, black sclera
white/grey skin, corpselike
no visible ears(reptilian-style)
lips are pulled back into a grimace
all wounds have a high tendency to scar
thin, oily blood

Tries to be optimistic
"Enlightened self-interest"
Dread Necromancers replace Healers

edit: Entropamancers and Ur-Priests are common
Shadowcasters are common
Psionics are uncommon but known
Soulmelds and Vestiges are unknown
Adepts, Commoners, and Warriors are unknown
"commomers" are Experts
Artificers are "nobility"
Healers are considered "Evil"
