Good added animal templates

I was wondering what good templates there are that can be added to animals. In particular, a Wild Cohort (though not stricly necessary). I know... war trained? The one from MMII, that's good. But really, that's all that comes to mind. I know of quite a few decent templates for animals, but not many that can be acquired.

Keeping in mind that this really doesn't work for animal companions, naturally. Unless you have an insane DM that will wave that for you.

AFAIK, the only three templates that don't change type from animal are Warbeast, Magebred and Horrid (possibly Gargantuan too).

By RAW, it's quite difficult to add templates to Wild Cohorts or Animal Companions as the rules for what animal you can get at which level don't really allow for it (except Horrid, which I believe has it's own tables for use as an AC).
