After an infraction or warning expires, does it vanish completely? Or does a record stay somewhere?

I once Thread Necro'd without realizing it. The record stays, it just says expired instead of the expiration date.

Sheriff: The bit under your avatar changes to reflect only your non-expired Warnings/Infractions and eventually disappears when there are no non-expired Warnings/Infractions.

The bit on your faculty profile, as previously mentioned, changes to note "Expired" but remains on there permanently for reference.

Obviously, these are both things only you and the forum staff can see.
