Alright, for the first time in months on top of things! Let's move on to the voting, shall we? I am pleased we had some good turn out here, and some great classes. But alas, they must fight to the death, with only one getting to be the community winner. On to the My Life in Runes (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203247) voting!

Voting will go to July 26th at midnight (Central Standard Time). Vote once, vote in bold please so I can see it easier, and if possible, say why you chose the class you chose because feedback is awesome.

Wordthief.

I saw a lot of interesting ideas, most of which were executed in a balanced and interesting manner. Good job, everyone. However, I especially like the fluff and mechanics of the Wordthief. Partially, I have a soft spot for the Spellthief, but also the Illumians are an interesting race. I wish I had gotten around to PEACH'ing everyone, but such is life.

Nightlord of Moil

For two reasons; 1) It's runic necromancy and is thus awesome, 2) the class is well thought out and fairly well balanced for what it does.

Master of Marks

Its like a rouge who gets to do some interesting stuff. The bees are just great.

I also liked the Wordthief and the Auran Pirate. I feel like summoning a ship into a dungeon and having it fire off a full broadside right in your enemies face would never cease to be satisfying.

Wordthief

What can I say? I like the class and the abilities, and it's just a cool concept.

Nightlord of Moil

Yes. Just... yes.

Everyone knows by now that I love Necromancy to a great extreme. :smallamused:

I've manage to find times to read everything and I have to go with the auran pirate it's just that cool.
Special note to the Wordthief that I really like too, I had a hard times deciding.

Also awesome work for the image that goes with the death mark, very well done. (but sadly I'm biaised against necromancy)

Hmm, tough choice. I really like a lot of them. The Wordtheif has original and apparently balanced mechanics. The Dead Mark Pariah is very well done and has really neat fluff. But I think my vote is going to have to go to the Auran Pirate. The idea of having runes to power a ship is pretty original, and the mechanics are solid.

I'm gonna go with the Nightlord. Like a lot of them though.. I can say for certain that the Runemaster is getting used this weekend, just to scare my players..

Nightlord of Moil - what can I say, I like necromancy, and this class builds up nicely upon the existing feat.

I'll vote for the Nightlord. Lots of them are good, but I have a preexisting fondness for necromancy. My other picks were the Wordthief or the Auran Pirate, but I decided to go for the undead.

It was suuuuch a tough choice, so many good classes, eventually after struggling I narrowed it down to Wordthief and Auran Pirate... Had to roll a die to decide for me.

I cast my vote for Auran Pirate.

I am going to have to agree with Nightlord of Moli as well. Well implemented idea and necromancy was always my favorite anyway .

Winner is JoshuaZ with his Nightlord of Moil! Great work there JoshuaZ, good stuff. I am a huge fan of the lore of Moil, Acerak, and the utterly unforgiving Tomb of Horrors. Classic D&D lore right there. Good stuff, and that's why the Nightlord of Moil also gains Errant's Pick this month.

Great work everyone, and let's see what you've got for Guts, Gears, and Glory (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208114)!

Thanks. This is my first time winning, and I'm very happy to see such good ideas. I do hope we'll get eventually to see a version of DMofDarkness's and Kellus's PrCs that couldn't make it (if DM doesn't I may need to make one with the same theme). I'll try sometime tomorrow to post a copy of the Nightlord in its own thread and hopefully that copy will not have the egregious grammar issues (apostrophes do not make a word plural. No, they do not.)

But they can be possessive if the name ends with an S! As in, "DMofDarkness' and Kellus' PrCs that couldn't make it." :smallwink::smalltongue:

Congratulations on winning, you definitely deserved it. I love necromancy, and Nightlord is a great necromantic class. I'll definitely try to make sure it sees use in a campaign some day.
