Does it specifically spell out somewhere in the SRD how changing size categories affects weight? Not just for monsters, but items as well. Looking for a fairly comprehensive answer if possible. Thanks!

Enlarge Person (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/enlargePerson.htm) says double height and multiply weight by 8.

For items, the weight is doubled for each size increment.

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/weapons.htm#weight

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/goodsAndServices.htm#clothing
- the footnote in the table says 1/4 weight for clothes and containers for small creatures.

from this the rest can be extrapolated (spelling?)

It's important to remember that some information is omitted from the SRD because it doesn't have all of the charts that the core books do.

Page 29 of the DMG has information on the max weights of creatures of each size category. I would post the info here, but I'm pretty sure it's the kind of copyrighted content that the mods frown upon. Each size category increase a monster's weight by a factor of 8 or so though and the maximum weight for a medium sized creature is about 500lbs. You can extrapolate the information from that.

For "tall" creatures it's usually eight times the weight for twice the height, I think. It says that under Enlarge Person. They might also generalize that to quadrupeds, I'm not sure.
Reduce Person also halves the height and divides the weight by eight.

Is it sad that I just opened up my pdf version of the PHB when my hard copy is literally sitting on my desk not a foot from my hand?
