This is more because I'm bored of a thought exercise, but what's the best reach we can get on a PC in Pathfinder?
Please feel free to correct any errors/misconceptions, and chime in with more ways to improve Reach.

Class: Paladin can take the Oath against Savagery (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo---paladin-archetypes/oathbound-paladin/oath-against-savagery) and trade in Divine Grace for the ability to gain +5ft. (explicitly does not stack with Lunge)

Summoners (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/summoner) can take the Synthesist ACF and take the Large evolution at level 8. They can also take the Reach evolution earlier, some RAW/RAI debate on if it only applies to Natural attacks. They also have access to the spell Enlarge Person (see Spells section).

Feat: Lunge (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/lunge-combat---final) let's you take a hit to AC to gain +5ft. on YOUR turn only.

Race: Oakling (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/3rd-party-races/alluria-publishing/oakling) is 3rd party, but it can take a feat to get +5ft.

Spell: Enlarge Person (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/e/enlarge-person) is the go-to spell, it's a low level spell, has a duration of minutes, and most any full caster has access to it (Bloodlines, Domains, etc...).

Weapon: Duh, get a Reach weapon. Can also use a Whip which has a reach of 15ft, but doesn't let you make AoO's.

Since we're maximizing reach, we probably also want to maximize AoO's (unless you want to Lunge with a Whip...)

Putting this together
Level 8 (minimum to start abusing reach)
Oakling (not optimal stat wise, but the only choice with +reach)
Dex>Str>Con>Cha>Wis>Int
Paladin 4 (OathSvg & OathVeng (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo---paladin-archetypes/oathbound-paladin/oath-of-vengeance))/Summoner (Synth) 2/Fighter 2
Bab +7
Feats: (4 from levels, 2 from Fighter)
Combat Reflexes (@1)
Dodge (@3)
Mobility (@5)
Mighty Oak (@7)
Combat Patrol (@7)
Lunge (@8)

Add a Reach weapon and you're minimum attacking distance is at least 25 feet.

While Summoner 2 doesn't qualify for the Large evolution, he does have access to Enlarge Person, and can upgrade himself with what Evolution Points he does have.
Oath of Vengeance allows you to cash in Lay On Hands uses to gain more uses of Smite Evil to in turn be cashed in for Reach from Oath of Savagery.
Fighter levels are only necessary to get Feats as soon as they become available (1 feat needs Bab 5, 2 feats need Bab 6), if starting/going to a higher level they can be dropped with no loss.

As written, the reach evolution for summoners is not limited to natural attacks, though it probably should be. RAW, though, it's allowable. The Large evolution requires level eight, though. Huge at 13 can get a base reach of 15', for what it's worth. Huge Synthesist with Reach, a reach weapon, enlarge person, and Lunge is a pretty darned huge reach just on its own,

Combat Patrol.

Does combat patrol stack with size increases and a reach weapon?

Believe so, haven't read closely.

EDIT: Combat Patrol (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/combat-patrol-combat). Looks like it.

Summoners (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/summoner) can take the Synthesist ACF and take the Large evolution at level 2. They can also take the Reach evolution, although I think it only applies to Natural attacks. They also have access to the spell Enlarge Person (see Spells section).

Actually Summoner's can't take the Large evolution until level 8

Large (Ex)

An eidolon grows in size, becoming Large. The eidolon gains a +8 bonus to Strength, a +4 bonus to Constitution, and a +2 bonus to its natural armor. It takes a –2 penalty to its Dexterity. This size change also gives the creature a –1 size penalty to its AC and on attack rolls, a +1 bonus to its CMB and CMD, a –2 penalty on Fly skill checks, and a –4 penalty on Stealth skill checks. If the eidolon has the biped base form, it also gains 10-foot reach. Any reach evolutions the eidolon possesses are added to this total. The eidolon must be Medium to take this evolution. The summoner must be at least 8th level before selecting this evolution.

Why would anybody think the reach ability is for natural weapons only? Weapon use with a eidelon is one of the two standard builds for summoners.
