Just wondering. Since Rich Burlew helped create the class, has any character in Order of the Stick (even a background one) been identified as a factotum or taken ranks in the class?

Rich says here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ps/20070305a) that the class was mostly not of his creation, and even if he did have a hand in it's building, the class is copyrighted by WotC and using it would be a copyright infringement, whether he made it or not (I think - I'm no copyright lawyer, so I might be wrong).

That said, I've seen speculation that Tarquin is (or at least is based on) a factotum, and it certainly fits his character.

We've seen the occasional class that first made their appearance in a WoTC book- the Warlock and Soulknife in the bar room brawl.

At least, soulknife seems the most parsimonious interpretation.

Rich is free to use any material if presented as a parody, it's the primary basis for the legality of the comic (I'm fairly certain anyway).

There hasn't been any explicit Factotums, and I'd expect Tarquin is more likely to be a CHA/INT based warrior. I'm probably wrong, that's just how I think of his sheet

I have never looked at Dungeonscape before nor had I read this interview. Knowing that Burlew helped create this book makes the roaches' comments at the end of this strip (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0541.html) funnier.
