[Allan Surgite]

The night sky twinkled; or, rather, it's stars did. Nary a cloud in the sky, and the moon hung brightly. Stars dotted the skyscape, each one looking down upon this insignificant mudball from hundreds of light years away.

And yet, one star seemed to glow brighter then the others; and seemed to grow larger, and it came closer. This was no star; it was a small, pulsating ball of light, with sparks of an almost electricity-like nature sparking from it. The orb hit the ground, and bounced twice, before stopping. It crackled twice more, before it grow into a man-like shape, which soon took true form; a woman, clothed in black with grey hair running down from her temples. She looked around, before activating a duel disc on her arm.

"What manner of being approaches me?"

The man approaches the mysterious woman and smiles. I am here to observe some manner of event; presumably, your plummet was that event. Would you favour me a duel? I know that Duel Monsters is a concept spread throughout galaxies, and I am always searching for, ah, alien, perspectives on the game. He deploys a dueldisk and begins his draws.

The Librarian claps. Even with another turn, I would have been hard-pressed to stop that onslaught. Well played, Messenger; I enjoyed that. Perhaps we shall meet again? He returns to the telephone booth and it vanishes as suddenly as it arrived.

[... nope, nothing wrong with Reborn Tengu. Nothing at all :smalltongue:. I would retrofit my other decks to employ it, but I worry that the effort'll be wasted come September.

Any suggestions for this deck? I am thinking that I need Brain Research Lab, which is like Telekinetic Charging Cell and Double Summon in one card, both of which are handy concepts for this deck, but I think something else might need to be done to increase the reliability. I know that I can pull out Quasar in one turn, but it requires really specific plays.]

((Not at all XD; If I could have summoned Glow-Up Bulb and Tengu in the first turn, I would have seized victory a lot sooner then I did. Hyper Fabled seems to work even better then it did before, solely because Reborn Tengu is such a solid non-Tuner.

I wasn't too familiar with Psychics before I stopped playing, and I'm even less so now. Let's see... Overdrive Teleporter can rustle up two Level Three monsters for a two-thousand life-point investment (once). Psychic Overload is a more efficient version Trap-card variant of Pot of Avarice, which returns three Psychics to the deck to draw two cards. That's all I've got off the top of my head, sorry ^^; ))

Just looking at it, you can probably run Tour Guides and Sangan to maximise Xyz potential. Tour Guides can fetch Sangan and themselves; Tour Guide turns into an instant Rank 3 Xyz. If you do run the build, you may wish to consider the monster I summoned last turn; Leviair the Sea Dragon, who can summon Banished monsters in exchange for Xyz Material. If you use Hushed for that purpose, you can grab two Banished monsters at once!))

I tune all three monsters together; this summons Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier! Trishula's effect banishes your Meklord Emperor, the Tengu I have just put back in your graveyard, and another random card from your hand. This summons another Tengu from my deck using the effect of your Tengu. Now, I shall discard a Fabled Krus to summon my other Fabled Chawa; Krus' effect revives my other Chawa. I tune a Chawa to Tengu, to get a T.G. Hyper Librarian. This brings out another Tengu; I'll tune him to get a Fabled Ragin, who gives me a total of three draws to fill my empty hand, and my third and final Tengu. One moment, please.

I discard The Fabled Cerburrel for Kushano's effect, recycling him to my hand and summoning Cerburrel. Cerburrel, Brionac and Ragin all go direct; together, they deal just a touch more than enough damage to finish off the remainder of your lifepoints. Unless I slew a Necro Gardna last turn or you're keeping a Battle Fader in your hand, I think this duel is over, my friend.

Now I will use Ojama Country to discard an Ojama Black and revive the one in the grave, in attack mode; what this does is trigger my Country's effect, reversing the attacks and defenses of all monsters on the field; your Leviathan Dragon has, handily enough, 0 defense, making it beyond useless within Ojama Country's borders. Well technically yeah, but I am just going to forfeit at this point. You can summon any Dark World monster and bounce it to get Grapha, and you'll just use the Envoy's effect to kill both of my creatures and have Grapha attack directly to polish me off. Well played; my deck works better at a more measured pace, when my opponent isn't drawing through half her deck to OTK on the second turn. Not that there's anything wrong with that, its just not my style.

[... yeah, this deck's really not built to stand up to something like that. The idea here is that I wanted to make a deck that used Fusion, Xyz, Synchro and Nomi/Semi-Nomi trump cards all in one deck. It works great in a duel where the players are just trading plays each round, but it can't keep up with a real Turbo deck. I would think this deck would actually work really well vs. Stun decks, since it can throw down more things than the Stun deck can efficiently negate.

I have no really concrete advice for your deck, but I still think that BLS is a little risky with only the 3 Effect Veilers. Although, the amazing draw power of the deck makes it more likely to draw into both, certainly. A single copy of The Fabled Cerburrel might be nice for quick Synchros and a little more reliability on the Light-monster front. Overall, a very strong Turbo deck; I would think my Fabled, Normalstun or Samurai would fare better against it than the mid-tier gimmick decks I run on the Points of Light.]

((Yeah XD;; I've only tried this out in one other duel, and I'm just not used to Dark Worlds being, well, competent and quick. Every other Dark World deck I've run was slow and cumbersome, and I have difficulty remembering that this isn't like that at all. And yeah: from your deck list, Stun decks would have a problem keeping up with it. You have the Chaos monsters to get over Wanghu, for instance.

And I'm considering Cerburrel, actually; the only issue would be finding something to Synchro Summon it with, since the deck's lower-levelled monsters tend to be picked up and discarded, or bounced for Grapha. The deck's draw power makes it very easy to draw into Veiler, and the option for Tour Guide to search it out for you is always open for a first turn play (if, unlike me, you didn't draw a copy in your opening hand anyway). But thank you; I wish I could offer more advice on your deck, but I do admit that I kept you rather off-guard there XD;;))

Very well. This won't be quite as dramatic, but I think it should suffice. I bounce my Summoner Monk to call upon Genex Ally Birdman. I flip up Ruby Carbuncle and use Crystal Promise to recover Amethyst Cat. I tune all of my monsters... emerge, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier! Trishula banishes your Utopia, the Trap Dustshoot in your graveyard, and a random card from your hand. It will attack directly for 2900 damage. Unless you've yet another response, I will end my turn at that. Your move.
