I'd like something with this flavor, but have no idea how to go about it. Can anyone offer suggestions?

By flavor, I mean, a character who can:

1. Deal sneak attack damage.
2. Imbue his sword with spells.

Melee based arcane rogue who TWFs with a pair of matched Spellstoring daggers who casts GMW? Easy to build, versatile, and powerful. Interested?

EDIT: An ACTUAL Hexblade/Rogue isn't a bad melee character. You can focus on debuffs (Fear, Hex, Dark Companion), and then debuff with things like Staggering Strike or various Ambush feats. Hexblade4/Rogue4/Blackguard10 would be relatively solid throughout most of its career. Only a handful of SA dice, but between Craven and other stuff, not too shabby.

EDIT EDIT: Doesn't really do the 2nd item on your list of things you wanted to do, though.

Hexblades can't imbue their sword with spells. Do you mean Duskblade?

Daggerspell Mage from Complete Adventurer sounds close to what you're looking for.

Rogue or Ninja or Swordsage+Duskblade+Chameleon will get you both arcane and divine spells to channel, like Otto's irresistible Dance and Harm. Also, you have access (theoretically) to any Ranger or Assassin spell related to sneak attacks on top of any wizard, cleric, druid, or bard spell. Craven will help out with the low-ish sneak attack dice.

IIRC, with the right spell selection, Duskblade gets enough divinations to get into Unseen Seer as well.

Not a recommendation for the character as a whole, but a Hexblade with SA does get a really nifty trick with Cursed Blade + the feat Arterial Strike.

Basically, Arterial Strike lets you sacrifice SA damage to inflict a wound that keeps bleeding (and thus doing ongoing damage) until the victim receives a Heal check (DC 15) or magical healing. Cursed Blade is a Hexblade spell that makes damage you do unable to be cured by any means until the victim receives a Remove Curse. Combine the two to make a wound that's basically impossible to recover from if you don't have either fast healing or Remove Curse. All you have to do is apply it, then run, hide, or turtle until the inevitable happens. Fun!

As for the class combo as a whole, I guess it depends on the level and on the mix, really.

This nifty trick does not exist. Cursed blade states that only weapon dmg is "cursed" so the bleeding effect could be easily healed.

Even if the DM's interpretation is that the dmg from the bleeding does not heal, the bleding stops after recieving any cure spell... So says Arterial Strike.
